This was not the first time Meng Liang and Hongfu had faced each other. They had already exchanged blows on the battlefield of the Golden Drum Plains.
Hongfu ignored him, however, and instead asked the woman in red leading the group, "Xuan'er, what do you plan to do?"
The woman in red was none other than Dong Xuan'er. Strangely, though she had always obeyed her master's every command, she was now giving her master orders instead.
"These people want to kill Senior Brother Lin. Naturally, we can't let them live. Take Red Powder Skeleton and kill them."
Hongfu showed no anger whatsoever. Instead, she reminded her, "If we all attack, no one will be left to protect you."
"I have the refined corpse he gave me to protect me. I'll be fine."
With that, Dong Xuan'er brought out an early Core Formation refined corpse. Hongfu nodded and beckoned to Red Powder Skeleton behind her, flying toward Meng Liang's group.
With the three of them holding the enemy in check, Meng Liang and his three companions did not rashly attack Lin He and the others. Instead, they fought Hongfu's group of four.
Dong Xuan'er did not spare Meng Liang's group so much as a glance. Her face brimming with delight, she approached Lin He.
"Senior Brother Lin!"
"Junior Sister Dong!"
Lin He noticed the changes in Dong Xuan'er. Although her cultivation was only at early Foundation Establishment, her every expression and movement carried the air of someone in authority, someone holding great power in her hands. Rather than feeling pleased to see her like this, Lin He sensed trouble coming.
