On the Lava Path, Lin He felt as though he had stepped onto a mountain of fire. Scorching waves of heat rolled over him. He put on the fire-repelling robe he had obtained earlier, and only then did he feel considerably cooler.

Before Lin He had gone far, he encountered fire spirits born of this peculiar environment!
They were a flock of forty or fifty red Fire Crows. The moment they spotted Lin He, they hurled themselves at him with savage ferocity.
At the sight, a ball of golden light suddenly appeared in Lin He's palm. He squeezed it, and it burst into countless golden orbs that shot outward. The Fire Crows stood no chance against them and were easily pierced through, one after another.

The moment Lin He stepped into the Black Desert, grains of black sand rose into the air and transformed into black flying ants. Some five or six thousand of them swarmed toward him.
"Iron Fire Ants! A pity they can't accept a master."
Lin He felt rather regretful.
