Spirit Hall and the Undercover Mission

Spirit Hall helped She Long become a Titled Douluo, with Qian Daoliu personally nurturing and promoting him as part of the support intended for Qian Renxue. After his breakthrough, he disappeared from public view to guard her covertly. His unusual Snake Lance avatar had already become known during his years as a Soul Saint and Soul Douluo 60 83 84.

By the time he rescues Lu Yuan and Old Tom, She Long has spent roughly a decade protecting Qian Renxue. Together with Porcupinefish Douluo, he accompanies her during her secret visit to Spirit City, where she meets Lu Yuan and Meowmeow 38 75.

The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well

While searching Sunset Forest with Lu Yuan, She Long discovers the poisonous mist surrounding the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. He joins Porcupinefish Douluo in confronting Dugu Bo, whose retreat allows Qian Renxue’s group to claim the medicinal land 49 50 51.

Lu Yuan gives him the Earth Dragon Golden Melon, which evolves his martial soul and raises his soul power. She Long then guards the others as they refine their herbs. Grateful for his own gains, he becomes increasingly concerned for Lu Yuan’s safety, particularly during the boy’s attempt to absorb a ten-thousand-year third soul ring 53 55 56.

When assassins surround Lu Yuan, She Long strikes their Soul Saint leader through the chest with his Golden Two-Headed Dragon Lance. She Long deliberately preserves several captives for questioning, then brings them and the bodies to Qian Renxue 59 60.

Rescue of Lu Yuan and Old Tom

At Qian Renxue’s request, She Long intervenes when Xue Xing and the assembled families corner Lu Yuan and Old Tom over the Golden Hawksbill Turtle Torso Soul Bone. Before leaving, he entrusts Qian Renxue’s protection to Porcupinefish Douluo 74 75.

Masked and riding his Golden Two-Headed Dragon, he blocks Dugu Bo’s poison attack and declares the pair under his protection. His rank-94 strength discourages Xue Xing from pursuing the confrontation, allowing all three to escape aboard the dragon 75 76.

She Long takes them to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, permits Old Tom to consume the Heavenly Mountain Snow Lotus, and guards him during his recovery and subsequent torso soul bone absorption 77 78 79.

Old Tom’s Recruitment and the Dragon Pearl

She Long agrees to help Old Tom obtain his ninth soul ring in exchange for becoming a Spirit Hall guest elder. In the Blue Silver Forest, he fights alongside Old Tom with support from Lu Yuan and Meowmeow. When the Blue Silver King attempts to self-destruct, She Long recognizes the danger; after Lu Yuan creates an opening, his dragon avatar restrains the beast so Old Tom can kill it 80 81 82.

Afterward, he gives Old Tom the Blue Silver King’s eighty-thousand-year soul bone rather than keeping it. Lu Yuan then rewards She Long’s repeated assistance with the Fire Dragon King soul pearl, granting him a second martial soul 82 83.

She Long accompanies Old Tom to Spirit City for his title-conferring ceremony and reports his recruitment under Qian Renxue’s name. His increased strength alarms Chrysanthemum Douluo, who admits he may no longer be She Long’s match. Bibi Dong mistakenly attributes the gains to rare soul bones supplied by Qian Renxue 84.

He subsequently returns to Heaven Dou City with Lu Yuan and Old Tom, eager to resume protecting Qian Renxue 91.

Having witnessed her unhappy family circumstances and the improvement brought by Lu Yuan’s companionship, he agrees to rescue the boy despite the risks of leaving her side 53 75.

He grows warmer toward Lu Yuan through gratitude and personal respect. He treats Old Tom courteously for Lu Yuan’s sake, allows access to a healing herb, and relinquishes a valuable soul bone. After receiving the Fire Dragon King martial soul, he briefly considers placing Lu Yuan above Qian Renxue in his loyalties, although he later hurries back to resume his guard duties 77 82 83 91.

His judgment remains cautious: he worries about Soul Shock, suspects Lu Yuan’s ancestral claim to the well is fabricated, and keeps assassins alive to identify their employer 56 60 77.
