In the second part of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC, Lacey, one of the Blueberry Elite Four, gave the protagonist a special gift after a series of events.
A special pill that permanently taught Koraidon or Miraidon to fly.
After all, they were officially classified as Legendary Pokémon. Not being able to fly was honestly a little embarrassing.

Still, Qingyu had no idea how Lacey actually did it, so his remark about "teaching Miraidon to fly" had only been an offhand comment. He hadn't meant it seriously.
After patting Miraidon and briefly soothing its mood, Qingyu soon looked up.

In the original Pokédex, Dragonite's description stated that it could circle the globe in just sixteen hours at full speed.
Converted into actual speed, that was well beyond the speed of sound-roughly Mach 2, and one and a half times Earth's rotational speed. Pretty terrifying.
At Dragonite's speed, flying from Kanto to Paldea would take about three hours. And since it would be flying against Earth's rotation, it might even outrun the clock. Going from morning to night wasn't impossible, either.
So if they set out in the morning, it should still be morning when they reached Paldea.
