He threw his Poké Ball, and after a flash of blue light, before Xia You could make anything out, a splash rang out, as though something heavy had fallen into the pool.
When the waves settled, a huge dorsal fin unmistakably belonging to a shark appeared in the pool.
Looking farther down, it was indeed a sharklike Pokémon!
"So it's a Sharpedo."
Xia You heard Ash mutter from the stands.
It was a Pokémon they had already encountered back in Hoenn, so everyone present except Dawn was familiar with it.
After all, this Pokémon had never appeared in the seas around Sinnoh.
A ferocious Water- and Dark-type Pokémon, Sharpedo resembled a shark.
Its body was bright blue and white, with two notches in its upper fin and one in its lower fin. It had red eyes and black gills on the sides of its body, while its most distinctive features were the yellow four-pointed star markings on its head and rear.
Its appearance alone made it clear that its design was based on the great white sharks of the Real World!
Of course, it also incorporated some submarine and torpedo elements, making it look cooler and fiercer.
In terms of its habits, Sharpedo was known as the bully of the sea, striking fear into people at the mere mention of its name. It was a ruler of the seas, vicious by nature, yet cunning and intelligent.
Its teeth could bite through iron plates and quickly regenerate if broken. It could single-handedly tear a large oil tanker to shreds, and every ship that entered the waters it inhabited would be attacked without exception. It was also extremely sensitive to the scent of blood. After catching the scent of
