Although they had agreed to help Makomo find Musharna, the research institute ruins were large in one sense and small in another. They could walk through the whole place in a little over ten minutes, but finding clues about a Pokémon that had vanished in an explosion several years ago was hardly easy.
Still, from what Makomo said, the reason she had not given up after so long and still believed Musharna had not disappeared lay in this Pokémon's unique nature.
Based on her research, she believed that, as a Pokémon skilled at controlling dreams, Musharna would not die so easily even if its body disappeared. Most importantly, she believed the explosion back then had not truly erased Musharna, but had instead carried it into another space through some means that could not yet be explained.
That was why she had come here whenever she had time, trying to find some clues. Although a long time had passed and she had searched countless times, going through every area over and over, she still had not given up.
Hearing this, Dawn's heart sank, and she felt little confidence that they could find Musharna.
But she had only intended to lend a hand in the first place. Whether they found it or not, she was acting out of kindness. Finding clues would certainly be good, but she would not be too disappointed if they found nothing.
As they talked, Makomo led them to the laboratory where she had conducted her experiments.
According to her, this was where everything had begun.
"I was conducting my experiments here several years ago, but one day, the energy suddenly went out of control and caused a violent explosion. By the time I came to my senses, everything around me had disappeared. Only Munna, two other researchers,
