Seeing Makomo head straight into the kitchen, deftly tie on an apron, put her hair up, and get to work, Dawn looked a little surprised. "Huh? You can cook too, Miss Makomo?"
"Of course." Songlu smiled. "My sister might be a little scatterbrained, but she's a really good cook!"
"I really couldn't tell..."
Cheryl turned to Songlu, curious. "Miss Makomo said you develop the Pokémon storage system. What's that?"
"It's the transfer machines you often see at Pokémon Centers," Songlu said with a smile. "You put a Poké Ball into the machine, send it to wherever it's being stored, then send it from there back to the Pokémon Trainer. It's that simple."
That didn't sound simple no matter how they looked at it...
Poké Balls contained living, breathing Pokémon. To instantly transport both the ball and the Pokémon inside it across an ocean, from one region to another-was that really something current science could accomplish?
And besides...
Xia You and the others looked Songlu up and down. Seeing that this girl really was younger than Dawn, they couldn't help marveling.
One studied Pokémon dreams and was already a professor at around twenty, with several years of work behind her.
The other had begun scientific research at an age when her peers hadn't even finished elementary school, and in such an impressive, cutting-edge field at that.
These sisters really were both geniuses...
No, they were geniuses among geniuses.
They continued chatting. Dawn and Cheryl asked about things that interested them, and Songlu answered each question, displaying a composure entirely at odds with her age while also asking about things that interested her.
For the most part, though, her questions concerned what they had seen and heard on their travels, what Pokémon battles were like, and how Pokémon Contests were held.
