Since Shelly and Courtney were not far away and moved quickly, they arrived in Driftveil City by dusk, travel-worn, and met up with Xia You at the Pokémon Center.
Perhaps because they had only recently parted, they did not cling to Xia You as they usually did upon seeing him. Instead, they showed rare restraint.

Otherwise, Xia You would not have arranged to meet them at the Pokémon Center.
Before they arrived, Xia You had already written the information Gengar had gathered on a sheet of paper and drawn a simple diagram of the destroyer's interior.

Xia You shot her a look. "How long have I even been here? Getting this much is already pretty impressive. Besides, more information isn't always better. Didn't I find the ship and figure out its layout and equipment?"
Of course Shelly knew all that. She had merely been teasing her man.
After all, playful blows meant affection and scolding meant love. The more they bickered like this, the closer they would grow.
Courtney, however, did not care about any of that. She simply nestled against Xia You, wrapped both arms around his waist, and rubbed her cheek against his chest.
As for discussing a plan...
Who cared? She would just do whatever Xia You told
