"Cynthia." Dawn suddenly lowered her voice and leaned forward slightly, as though she were about to share an important secret. "Did you hear about that story from a few days ago? The one about Miss Diantha and Xia You-"
She paused there and shot Xia You a quick glance. Only when she saw no reaction from him did she continue.
"-that dating rumor."
This was where Dawn showed her cleverness.
She clearly hadn't brought this up now just because it happened to come to mind. She had her own considerations.
Although she was still young, she wasn't some clueless little girl.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have developed feelings for Xia You like May and Misty had. At least compared with that blockhead Ash, one was in the heavens and the other on the ground.
Precisely because of this, she had also keenly noticed the slightly tangled love and resentment between Xia You and Cynthia, even though those involved had tried to hide something from them.
The rumor had caused such an uproar that, while Cynthia might not know about it yet, she was in Unova, after all. It would certainly reach her ears eventually.
