In the valley, the battle to capture Moltres had officially begun!
By this time, Lorelei and Sabrina had already reached the slopes halfway down Mt. Ember.
Having just taken the route once, they knew the way well, and descending was far quicker than climbing. Yet although it still took physical effort, unlike the relaxed cheerfulness of their ascent, the atmosphere between the two women walking side by side was unusually oppressive!
Sabrina naturally had little desire to speak, while Lorelei was clearly still brooding. With no common topics between them either, neither had taken the initiative to speak even by the time they reached this point!
But Sabrina did not mind at all. After all, their mindsets differed, and she had a very cool, reserved personality. Even walking in silence the whole way did not feel awkward to her; instead, she rather enjoyed this leisurely, pleasant time.
Rumble!!
Just then, a sudden bolt of lightning cracked behind them. Hearing it, Lorelei could not help looking back, only to see that thick storm clouds had shrouded the summit of Mt. Ember at some point, with bolts of thunderous lightning gathering and appearing within them from time to time!
Crack!!!
As those bolts struck the peak one after another, their tremendous energy even made Mt. Ember shake!
Lorelei lost her footing and nearly fell. Fortunately, she caught a nearby rock in time, avoiding embarrassing herself in front of Sabrina.
When she straightened and turned to look at the thunderclouds again, her expression was already grave.
