By then, it was past four in the afternoon. The spectators on the streets had begun to disperse, but quite a few still lingered nearby, reminiscing about and discussing the match that had just ended. To avoid being recognized, Xia You could only put on a hat and glasses, covering himself up once again.
That was the price of being in the limelight. If he wanted to avoid being disturbed, this was his only choice.
Once they entered the guesthouse courtyard, Xia You spent a considerable sum ordering a whole tableful of food and drinks from the landlady.
The most important thing after winning a championship was celebrating, and nothing rewarded him better than a sumptuous feast!
By evening, it was pitch-black outside. Xia You and the others let their larger Pokémon out into the courtyard and prepared food for them separately, while the smaller Pokémon sat with them at the low, long table on the tatami floor.
