Vigoroth really was far too restless.
Xia You noticed that every move it made, whether attacking, defending, or running, included unnecessary movements such as pacing, rising onto its toes, reaching out, scratching its cheeks, or pounding its chest.
These came from its natural habits, slipping out without it even realizing.
An idea struck him. He ordered Combusken to attack again while carefully watching Vigoroth's movements once more. Sure enough, just as he had noticed, these really were all subconscious reactions!
A plan instantly formed in his mind.
There was no time to consider whether it would work. Seeing that Combusken was gradually slowing down, he could only stake everything on testing his guess through action.
"Combusken, use Scratch!"
He deliberately had Combusken use a move that was relatively easy to dodge. Just as he had predicted, the very next second, after easily avoiding Combusken's claws, Vigoroth unconsciously hopped sideways twice on its toes!
Xia You immediately seized the opportunity!
As Vigoroth landed, he made a snap decision and shouted, "Aim diagonally behind you and use Double Kick!"
Though somewhat puzzled, Combusken still followed its Trainer's instructions. Without even turning its head, it kicked backward twice!
Thud! Thud!
Both kicks struck Vigoroth squarely in the chest!
Vigoroth staggered back several steps, clutching the spot where it had been kicked and grimacing from the intense pain!

Seeing this, Norman raised his eyebrows but did not think much of it, assuming Xia You had merely made a lucky guess.
What happened next, however, made him realize something was not quite right.
Xia You repeated the same trick, testing the method again with the same success!
And this time, after taking consecutive kicks to the same spot, Vigoroth was in so much pain that sweat began pouring off it!
Now there was a
