A brief flash of brilliance did not prove anything. Eevee had performed wonderfully, and Blaziken had followed up well, but that was not enough to affect the entire battle.
The battle had only just begun. Swellow and Alakazam still held their type advantages over Blaziken, and although their initial exchange had gone poorly, Liangping did not take it to heart.
The only thing he needed to watch out for was that Eevee had already closed in on Alakazam. That was unfavorable for most Psychic-type Pokémon, leaving them without enough safe space to attack. Alakazam would have to put some distance between them again.
After all, aside from the few Psychic-type Pokémon capable of close combat, most lacked effective close-range attacks, which left them somewhat helpless when opponents closed in.
For them, however, creating some distance was merely a matter of using Teleport.
At Liangping's signal, Alakazam used Teleport and appeared on the other side of the battlefield.
Yet the instant Alakazam appeared, another roaring blast of flame swept over and engulfed it!
"What?!"
Everyone was astonished at the sight.
The commentator blurted out, "Xia You actually predicted Alakazam's next move and had Blaziken attack ahead of time? But how did he predict where Alakazam would appear?"
It truly was incredible.
The battlefield was an open rectangle-not especially large, but not small either. Accurately predicting where Alakazam would appear in a place like that was already extremely unlikely, let alone confidently launching an attack. That was not something just anyone could do!
If his prediction had been wrong and the flames had burned the wrong spot, he would have made a complete fool of himself!
It was not just the commentator and the audience who were surprised. Even the competitors watching the match found it incredible when they put themselves in
