After the stream ended, Iono checked the backend statistics and was very pleased with how it had gone.
That last remark was mostly a joke. Iono said something similar after collaborating with almost every newcomer, and never had them sign a contract.
"Hello? When am I coming back? I'm away on business in Donghuang~ Oh, sorry for the trouble for a few more days, Mr. Aoki~ Diantha and I still have a collaboration planned. I'll be back soon."
"Make it quick. A few days from now isn't one of my scheduled overtime days. I don't want to work overtime."
On the other end of the call was an employee of the Paldea Pokémon League's business department, though his performance was fairly average.
He was also one of Paldea's Elite Four, as well as the Gym Leader of the Medali Gym.
The total number of Gyms was fixed, and the number of Trainers wouldn't decrease just because one Gym Leader was away. While Iono was out livestreaming, some of that pressure had been shifted onto Aoki.
"You haven't graduated yet, right? Take some advice from someone who's been there. Don't try to hold down several jobs at once, or you'll end up a textbook 'working stiff' like Mr. Aoki."
Iono casually stuffed her phone into her clothes. Who knew what she kept inside that oversized coat? It felt like an inventory bag; nothing she pulled out of it would have seemed surprising.
Before packing up to leave, she even chatted with Xin Mu about his future plans. Apparently, the slight overlap between his name and Aoki's had prompted her to say a little more.
