Before Rāgaratna Tathagata could explain, the Buddha Heart plummeted in alarm. Yet when it fell to where the Nine-Ranked Lotus Platform had been, countless lotus flowers appeared from nowhere and caught it. Were those not Maitreya Buddha World Honored One's merit lotuses?
"Wuwu..." The lotus flowers held the Buddha Heart and surged toward it. Beneath the Buddha Heart's Buddha light, they gradually fused into golden liquid, dripping around it. Little by little, another Buddha statue golden body, a full hundred thousand zhang tall, miraculously formed before the Buddhist disciples of Thunder Sound Temple and Little Linglong Temple!
As the golden body took shape, demonic qi rolled across the heavens. Demon Venerable Slayer's arrogant voice rang out: "Everyone, I've paid back everything I owed you. When we meet again, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
With that, "Boom, boom, boom..." thunderous sounds erupted again from the surrounding sky. Demon Venerable Slayer howled, "Damn it, I haven't even left yet! This demonic tribulation isn't over!"
Though he said so, how could Demon Venerable Slayer dare remain here? He withdrew the demonic formation and demonic qi, then landed directly atop a peak in Demon Subduing Valley. There, Zhang Qingxiao hurriedly asked, "Master, how did it go?"
"Damn it, could there be any mistake when I make a move?" Demon Venerable Slayer cursed. "Your Junior Brother Xiao, my big brother, relied entirely on my demonic formation!"
"Hehe..." Zhang Qingxiao naturally knew that Demon Venerable Slayer was boasting again. Still, he merely smiled and turned his gaze back toward the Gate of the Immortal Realm in the sky.
Demon Venerable Slayer glanced below the mountain peak. He had half a mind to take advantage of the demonic qi still lingering between heaven and earth to easily break through the barrier of the Demon Realm. But
