Arc 46The Haotian Immortal Mansion

As the Four Immortal Path Sects purged Mount Yao and competing factions fought over the emerging Immortal Mansion, Zhang Xiaohua was drawn inside by the Haotian Mirror. He crossed the mansion’s trials and entered a wilderness of immense beasts, where a phoenix’s Nirvana flames left him unconscious and burned away his body’s outer covering.

  • Zhang Xiaohua left the convoy for Yaoshan as Primordial Qi surged across the mountain, and the Four Immortal Path Sects began driving away and killing rival searchers.
  • The mountain’s blood-fed radiance revealed the Immortal Mansion, while Di Shitian killed Master Yuanwu and Abbess Shujie before fleeing with the Heavenly Dragon Sect.

Ch. 1126Yaoshan's Current Situation

Zhang Xiaohua entrusted Qu Zhigao, Li Jinfeng, and their carriages to Lu Da, Ke Nanli, and Yuan Changqing before leaving for Yaoshan. There, a strange surge of Primordial Qi led Bai Yanqiu and Shuiyunjian’s True Persons to suspect that Yaoshan itself was the Immortal Manor, prompting them to consider clearing the mountain of rival sects.

  • Zhang Xiaohua reunited Qu Zhigao and Li Jinfeng with Lu Da and Ke Nanli, who agreed to escort the convoy to Huanxi Mountain Villa.
  • Zhang Xiaohua gave Li Jinfeng jade talismans, entrusted the convoy to Yuan Changqing, and left alone for Yaoshan.
  • A strange buzzing and a powerful wave of air swept over Yaoshan, stirring the gathered searchers and drawing more minor sects past the blockade.
  • Bai Yanqiu and Shuiyunjian’s three True Persons sensed the surge of Primordial Qi and discussed the Immortal Manor’s power.
  • Bai Yanqiu and the True Persons concluded that Yaoshan might itself be the Immortal Manor, then True Person Haofeng proposed clearing the mountain of rival disciples.

Ch. 1127Each with Their Own Designs

Alliance Leader Zhang and Abbess Jingyi weighed their plans for the Yao Mountain Immortal Mansion while discussing the Misty Sect and the unexpected influence of Zhang Xiaohu. A sudden eruption of Primordial Qi startled both camps, leaving them to investigate the mountain.

  • Alliance Leader Zhang erupted in anger over the Righteous Path Alliance’s losses, blamed the Incense-Passing Cult for the Immortal Path expert’s attacks, and resolved to destroy the Misty Sect after the search for the treasure.
  • Deputy Alliance Leader Yan reported that the Righteous Path Alliance had found nothing on Yao Mountain and that Shuiyunjian, Great Forest Temple, and the Incense-Passing Cult had sent no one up the mountain.
  • Alliance Leader Zhang ordered his disciples to search carefully, then sent more men to investigate when Yao Mountain hummed and released a surge of Primordial Qi.
  • Abbess Jingyi and her followers discussed Shuiyunjian’s interest in the Immortal Mansion and admitted that Zhang Xiaohu had exceeded their expectations by consolidating the Misty Sect.
  • Abbess Xuezhen revealed that she had sent people to Misty Manor to gather intelligence, and Abbess Jingyi welcomed the news.
  • Another surge of Primordial Qi struck, and Abbess Jingyi, Shuqing, and Shujie flew out of the wooden house.

Ch. 1128Abbess Jingyi... Perplexed

Abbess Jingyi and the Incense-Passing Cult celebrated the Primordial Qi erupting beneath Yao Mountain and resolved to seize its Immortal Mansion. News that Zhang Xiaohu might have attained Immortal cultivation and subdued powerful Incense-Passing Cult and Righteous Path Alliance figures left Abbess Jingyi deeply perplexed.

  • Abbess Xuezhen learned from an outer disciple that the Misty Sect had undergone a great change and ordered further investigation.
  • Shuqing and Shujie absorbed the Primordial Qi, then told Abbess Jingyi that the Incense-Passing Cult had to claim the Immortal Mansion.
  • Abbess Xuezhen reported that Zhang Xiaohu supposedly possessed Immortal cultivation, but Abbess Jingyi and Chen Chen doubted the claim.
  • Junior Sister Yan suggested that Immortal experts connected to the Misty Sect might have helped Zhang Xiaohu, while Peacock asked where the recently seen Immortal cultivators had come from.
  • Abbess Jingyi ordered Ming Qing and Gao Kunheng brought to her for questioning and learned that they, Wang Lun, and Liu Bin reportedly obeyed Zhang Xiaohu.
  • Abbess Jingyi wondered how Zhang Xiaohu could have subdued Ming Qing and his more than two thousand Wuming Hall disciples within a few months.

Ch. 1129Bai Yanqiu's Plan

Bai Yanqiu proposed that the Four Immortal Path Sects take control of the Yao Mountain treasure search and impose order on the mountain. While Abbess Jingyi was away, Changge authorized the Incense-Passing Cult to prepare to seize and detain sect disciples who remained on its side of the mountain.

  • Abbess Jingyi sent Peacock to hear Bai Yanqiu's proposal and went alone toward Great Forest Temple's camp.
  • Bai Yanqiu urged the Four Immortal Path Sects to clear ordinary Martial Way practitioners from Yao Mountain, search the mountain by sections, and form a law-enforcement team.
  • Bai Yanqiu told Liang Cangxu to organize Shuiyunjian's elites and drive people away from the southern foothills.
  • Changge reported Bai Yanqiu's plan to Abbess Xuezhen, who agreed that the law-enforcement proposal could be considered.
  • With Abbess Jingyi still absent, Changge ordered the outer disciples to gather and, after two hours, capture and send remaining sect disciples from the western side to Shuiyunjian.

Ch. 1130The Strange

Changge and Abbess Jingyi realized Shuiyunjian might have occupied Yaoshan’s southern side to find the entrance to the immortal estate, then ordered the remaining sect disciples cleared from the mountain by force. As the slaughter began, the dead were mysteriously drained of their blood, while the sects below sought help from Great Forest Temple.

  • Abbess Xuezhen arranged for the Incense-Passing Cult to help Shuiyunjian clear Yaoshan, and Shuiyunjian issued warnings from all four sides demanding the remaining disciples leave.
  • Changge and Abbess Jingyi suspected Shuiyunjian had taken the southern side because the entrance to the immortal estate might lie there, so Abbess Jingyi sent disciples to search that area.
  • After the warnings expired, Abbess Jingyi ordered the Incense-Passing Cult to kill those who remained, and the four sects’ disciples charged up Yaoshan.
  • Shuiyunjian disciples killed a Qionghua Island disciple despite his surrender, and his blood seeped into the earth as his corpse dried; the other slain disciples underwent the same change.
  • The sects below Yaoshan realized the four sects would show no mercy and urged one another to seek Elder Changsheng’s help at Great Forest Temple.

Ch. 1131The Cleanup Begins

As Shuiyunjian and the other factions cleared Mount Yao, Great Forest Temple tried to persuade the remaining disciples to leave and shielded those who fled to the northern side. After the monks began forcibly driving them down, Master Chang Geng ordered protector disciples to search the northern peaks for anyone left behind.

  • Families gathered outside Great Forest Temple's camp and begged Master Chang Xing to save their relatives on Mount Yao.
  • Master Chang Xing explained that Great Forest Temple had warned the disciples and would protect those who came down, but the crowd mostly dispersed to form an alliance against the Four Immortal Path Sects.
  • Master Changsheng told Master Chang Xing to drive the disciples off Mount Yao, seal the acupoints of those who refused, and kill anyone found hiding during a later search.
  • Great Forest Temple's disciples descended from the summit and sealed the acupoints of the northern-side disciples, kicking them down the mountain.
  • Master Chang Geng ordered protector disciples to ascend Mount Yao and clear every northern peak.

Ch. 1132Alliance

The Four Immortal Path Sects continued searching Yao Mountain as martial-world sects gathered under Old Master Shang to demand access. True Person Haoyun attacked the delegation with a fiery artifact, leaving Old Master Shang engulfed in burning sparks.

  • Master Chang Geng sent Protector disciples up Yao Mountain, then ordered the remaining Great Forest Temple disciples to search it as cries of suffering echoed from the summit.
  • The Four Immortal Path Sects carried down the dead, while Old Master Shang arrived with more than a thousand people representing 104 martial-world sects.
  • Old Master Shang demanded that Bai Yanqiu let martial-world sects search Yao Mountain alongside the immortal-path disciples and claim any treasures they found.
  • Bai Yanqiu questioned how the groups would settle ownership and warned that allowing anyone to seize treasures could bring more bloodshed.
  • True Person Haoyun interrupted the discussion and launched sparks from a flute-like Dharma artifact at Old Master Shang and the delegation.
  • The sparks set Old Master Shang’s clothes, skin, hair, and saber sheath ablaze, causing him to cry out and struggle to brush them away.

Ch. 1133Immortal Mansion Appears, Chaos Erupts

True Person Haoyun and True Person Haofeng tested their empowered magical artifacts, killing Old Master Shang and many others as an immortal mansion began to appear above Mount Yao. The crowds rushed toward the blood-red light and fell into a mass slaughter, while Shuiyunjian raised a barrier and an invocation sounded from the Great Forest Temple’s direction.

  • True Person Haoyun burned Old Master Shang and nearby people with the Fiery Flame Flute, while True Person Haofeng killed another crowd with his Lightning Cone.
  • True Person Haoyue and the others spotted a growing point of light above Mount Yao and recognized it as an immortal mansion or passage to the Immortal Realm.
  • The light spread blood-red radiance and powerful Primordial Qi across Mount Yao, drawing the attention of sect leaders and martial artists throughout the area.
  • Tens of thousands charged toward the light, and their competition erupted into a slaughter as blood seeped into the earth beneath the mountain.
  • True Person Haoyun, True Person Haoyue, True Person Haofeng, and Bai Yanqiu raised a barrier around Shuiyunjian’s camp, leaving the crowd behind it to turn on one another.
  • A Buddhist invocation sounded from midair and drew the attention of True Person Haoyun and the others.

Ch. 1134All Gathered

Zhang Xiaohu persuaded the Misty Sect elders to stay away from Mount Yao, warning that the immortal estate would draw stronger opponents and that their sect still faced danger. Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaohua raced toward Mount Yao as elders from the Great Forest Temple, Incense-Passing Cult, and Shuiyunjian gathered there and renewed old tensions.

  • Zhang Xiaohu used Li Jian’s changing attitude toward a copper coin, silver, and a golden yuanbao to explain why pursuing the immortal estate could be fatal.
  • Zhang Xiaohu told the Misty Sect elders to guard the manor, noting that Jingyi had demanded Deputy Sect Leader Ming or Deputy Sect Leader Gao go to Mount Yao.
  • Zhang Xiaohua sensed unusual changes in Primordial Qi and warm winds, suspected Mount Yao was stirring, and flew toward it.
  • True Person Haoyun saw three monks from the Great Forest Temple and two abbesses from Incense-Passing Cult arrive at Mount Yao.
  • Master Yuanwu and Abbess Shujie exchanged barbed remarks about their past, while Abbess Shuqing greeted Master Yuandao.

  • Master Yuandao and Master Yuanwu greeted Abbess Shuqing and Abbess Shujie, and they agreed that they had come to pursue the same immortal opportunity.
  • True Person Haoyun identified himself as belonging to Shuiyunjian, prompting the abbesses to discuss the destroyed Divine Blade Sect and the death of Master Yuantian.
  • Abbess Shujie attacked Master Yuanwu with her Peach Blossom Whip, and he defended himself with an alms bowl and the Demon Slaying Sword.
  • Abbess Shuqing declined to fight Master Yuandao, then agreed to witness his questions to True Person Haoyun.
  • Master Yuandao asked Haoyun to show the ritual artifact that resembled the weapon used to kill Master Yuantian.
  • Haoyun feigned cooperation, attacked Master Yuandao with a scarlet light, and ordered True Person Haoyue and True Person Haofeng to join the assault.

Ch. 1136Chaotic Battle

Great Forest Temple’s Yuandao and Yuanming fought Shuiyunjian’s masters with powerful Buddhist treasures, while Abbess Shuqing intervened against a hidden attack. The battle remained unresolved as a new earthshaking crash interrupted the combatants.

  • Yuanwu and Abbess Shujie began fighting, leaving Yuandao and Yuanming to face True Person Haoyun, True Person Haoyue, and True Person Haofeng.
  • Yuanming used the Momo Bead against Haofeng, while Yuandao’s Demon Subduing Pestle extinguished Haoyun’s fire and clashed with Haoyue’s Lightning Hammer.
  • Haoyun sent a concealed Mystic Bone Needle at Yuandao, but Yuandao caught it in the Two Elements Box and revealed that Great Forest Temple had prepared for the weapon that killed Yuantian.
  • Haoyue attacked Yuandao from behind, but Abbess Shuqing blocked the strike with the Plain Cloud Soap White Banner.
  • Abbess Shuqing and Haoyue exchanged remarks about their sects’ ancient treasures before an earthshaking crash interrupted them.

Ch. 1137Trap

The Immortal Path masters’ artifact clash intensified the bloody radiance above Yao Mountain, while Master Yuandao and Abbess Shuqing revealed that they had been waiting to trap two Heavenly Dragon Sect attackers. Di Shitian then joined the fight, and the ambush turned into a battle between the sects.

  • Master Yuanwu’s Demon Slaying Sword collided with Abbess Shujie’s Peach Blossom Whip as Master Yuanming’s Momo Bead struck True Person Haofeng’s Lightning Cone, leaving the four masters reeling from the backlash.
  • The radiance above Yao Mountain grew brighter and bloodier, and two black-clad Heavenly Dragon Sect disciples attacked Abbess Shujie and Master Yuanming from behind.
  • Master Yuandao and Abbess Shuqing revealed their trap, and the masters formed a formation that caught both attackers; Master Yuandao identified one as Di Shitian.
  • Di Shitian mocked the formation and charged, prompting the Great Forest Temple and Incense-Passing Cult masters to attack him and his fellow disciple.
  • Master Yuanming’s Momo Bead struck the second Heavenly Dragon Sect disciple in the back and sent him tumbling through the air as he spat blood.

Ch. 1138A Trap Within a Trap

Di Shitian’s apparent defeat was revealed as part of a series of feints, but Master Tiangang struck the real Di Shitian and the Heavenly Dragon Sect escaped after a brief counterattack. Master Tiangang and the surviving sect leaders mourned their dead, while Abbess Shuqing left Yao Mountain with the Peach Blossom Whip.

  • Master Yuanwu and Abbess Shujie’s group overwhelmed the apparent Di Shitian and killed the black-clothed Heavenly Dragon Sect fighter, but the real Di Shitian emerged and killed Yuanwu and Shujie.
  • Di Shitian revealed that he had seen through the ambush and mocked the Great Forest Temple and Incense-Passing Cult before pulling several people into the air.

  • The slaughter beneath Yao Mountain ended, leaving forty percent of the gathered martial world people dead as the light above the mountain expanded and changed color.
  • Abbess Shuqing told Abbess Jingyi about the battle, prompting Abbess Jingyi to question Master Tiangang's motives and prepare the Incense-Passing Cult for the mansion's emergence.
  • At dawn, the light revealed an ancient great hall emerging from the void, and it was more than half visible by the time the sun rose.
  • Zhang Xiaohua disguised himself and rode toward Yao Mountain, entered past the sect checkpoints, and sensed dense Primordial Qi and a strong smell of blood.

Ch. 1141Immortal Mansion Lands

Zhang Xiaohua and the martial artists witnessed the Immortal Mansion descend onto Mount Yao, but its terrifying aura overwhelmed everyone before it landed. When the palace stairs appeared, Li Xu tried to reach them and was killed by Master Yuanming’s Momo Bead, as Bai Yanqiu rejected Master Changsheng’s demand to move Shuiyunjian’s disciples back.

  • The palace’s pressure nearly forced Zhang Xiaohua to kneel, but the Dragon-Tiger and phoenix talismans resisted it until the aura vanished.
  • The Immortal Mansion rotated, descended, and landed on Mount Yao while Zhang Xiaohua made his way near Shuiyunjian’s camp.
  • A staircase extended from the palace gates to the mountain’s foot, and the revealed plaque’s characters filled the crowd with awe.
  • Li Xu rushed toward the stairs, but Master Yuanming’s Momo Bead struck and killed him just before he reached them.
  • Master Changsheng ordered Bai Yanqiu to withdraw Shuiyunjian’s disciples ten zhang, and Bai Yanqiu refused.

Ch. 1142Seeing Ren Xiaoyao Again

  • The immortal estate flared brightly and drained the Primordial Qi that had gathered around Mount Yao.

Ch. 1145Passageway

As the immortal mansion drained the Primordial Qi from Yao Mountain, the fighting factions raced to decide who would enter first. Zhang Xiaohua entered the mansion alone and found himself on a vast jade passageway, where flight and divine sense were restricted and the path violently repelled him.

  • The immortal mansion’s suction drained the Primordial Qi around Yao Mountain, unleashing black clouds, hurricanes, and snow that disrupted the battle outside.
  • Bai Yanqiu rescued True Person Haoyue, True Person Haoyun, and True Person Haofeng, then persuaded Abbess Jingyi and Master Changsheng to let the Three Immortal Sects enter before Alliance Leader Zhang.
  • Peacock counted to three, and Master Changsheng, Abbess Jingyi, and Bai Yanqiu raced up the steps; Master Chang Geng and Master Chang Xing followed, leaving Alliance Leader Zhang to pursue them.
  • Zhang Xiaohua was pulled through the palace gate by the Haotian Mirror’s radiance and found himself inside the immense immortal mansion.
  • Zhang Xiaohua discovered that flight and divine sense reached only three chi inside the mansion, then stepped onto the jade passageway and was hurled into the air by a powerful force.

Ch. 1146Seven-Colored Passage

Zhang Xiaohua struggled to cross the strange passages and reach the palace inside the Haotian Immortal Manor. He nearly reached its light curtains, but a sudden crushing force pressed him down on the black-and-white passage.

  • Zhang Xiaohua found that the colored jade passages repelled him, then discovered their resistance weakened from purple through red, though he still could not cross them steadily.
  • Zhang Xiaohua used his true qi to stand on the red passage for several steps before its force threw him back.
  • Zhang Xiaohua reached the black-and-white passage beside the blood-colored barrier and slowly began crossing it toward the palace.
  • Zhang Xiaohua continued forward despite growing doubts about the manor's danger, using a Qi Stone to replenish his energy as the passage's resistance increased.
  • Zhang Xiaohua neared the palace's pale white light curtain when the force beneath him reversed and a tremendous pressure nearly drove him into the river.

Ch. 1147The Grand Hall, the Central Throne

  • Zhang Xiaohua decided to take the gray road before Master Changsheng and the others arrived.

Ch. 1148Mysterious Purple Qi

Zhang Xiaohua entered a small diamond-shaped house where immense pressure forced him to strengthen his bones by practicing the Big Dipper Divine Fist, and he captured a thread of mysterious purple Qi with Chasing Meng. His true Qi then urged him toward the round palace, where he arrived before a vast red curtain of light.

Ch. 1149Egg-Shaped Palace

Zhang Xiaohua used the Chasing Dreams sword and the flow in his left arm to cut through the palace’s blood-red barrier, entering a vast wilderness filled with enormous, strange beasts. As his true qi continued to run wild, he discovered that he could use Flying Technique again and set off to investigate the cause.

  • Zhang Xiaohua tried a fire talisman, the Haotian Mirror, and the Dragon Binding Ring against the barrier, but none worked.
  • Zhang Xiaohua used the Nameless Sword Moves with Chasing Dreams to cut open the barrier and entered the palace.
  • Zhang Xiaohua found that the palace’s interior was a vast, ancient wilderness inhabited by gigantic unfamiliar beasts, and that his divine sense worked there again.

  • A bird’s cry sent nearby beasts fleeing, while Zhang Xiaohua’s true qi boiled again; he then realized he could use Flying Technique and began walking onward.

Ch. 1150Phoenix Nirvana

  • Zhang Xiaohua reached a depression where white light from objects high in the sky calmed his surging true qi, but an invisible barrier stopped him from entering.
  • Zhang Xiaohua worked out that the barrier blocked objects carrying Primordial Qi, hid his belongings in a boulder crack, and crossed into the basin.
  • Zhang Xiaohua saw a huge phoenix ignite in dark-red flames as it began Nirvana of Fire, and flames rising from the basin struck him before he could escape.
  • Zhang Xiaohua fell unconscious, and a strange fluctuation and countless starlights appeared around him, but his clothing, hair, and flesh were burned away.
