"This is the countryside, isn't it?"
"Uh, all right."
"Hehe, don't worry. That's just how it is."
Kannagi Town was so rural that even the shops had not reopened. The only public facilities seemed to be the Pokémon Center and the newly renovated Community Center.
After driving for a while, they left the highway and immediately entered Kannagi Town.
"So this is Kannagi Town."
"It's a small town."
They drove through town and stopped in front of a large house on its northern side. When Kaim parked in an empty space on the grounds and got out, he saw a woman emerge from the house, perhaps having heard them arrive.
"Oh, sis. Welcome home."
"I'm home. Thanks for coming out to greet us."
The woman looked very much like Cynthia and had the same beautiful blond hair. Unlike Cynthia, however, her hair was cut above her shoulders, and her fringe hid the opposite eye, making it easier to tell them apart.
The woman turned her gaze to Kaim.
"Is this him?"
"Yes. Let me introduce you."
Cynthia turned toward Kaim and introduced him to the woman.
"This is Kaim. He's my assistant."
"I'm Kaim. It's nice to meet you."
"Oh! So you're Kaim!"
The woman held out her hand to Kaim and began introducing herself.
"I'm Krona, Cynthia's younger sister. It's nice to meet you, Kaim!"
The woman called herself Krona. While Cynthia gave off a cool impression, Krona seemed lively. Her hairstyle might have contributed to that impression, but it was probably because, despite her voice sounding much like Cynthia's, her manner of speaking was so animated.
Kaim took Krona's hand and returned her handshake.
"It's nice to meet you."
"Likewise! But, hehe..."
Krona stared at Kaim's face and murmured admiringly.
