"Heart?"

When I heard the word "heart," the image of a certain man's back came to mind. A man who denied his own heart and longed for a perfect world.

"What happened?"

"No, hearing the word 'heart' reminded me of Cyrus. Cyrus denied his own heart and longed for a perfect world without hearts."

"Cyrus. Are you still in the Distortion World?"

The world inhabited by Giratina, the world she had visited with Hikari-a broken world. There, she had confronted Cyrus, fought him head-on, and defeated him. After repeated conversations, they discovered that they were fundamentally incompatible, and the defeated Cyrus chose to remain in the Distortion World.

That broken world was a place where time did not flow and space was unstable. Thus, unless someone intervened, time would not move, and he would not die from hunger or other physiological causes. If Cyrus was still in that world, he must still be alive.

"I rejected Cyrus's denial of his heart. I rejected Cyrus."

At that point, Shirona suddenly broke off, then continued as she stroked Black.

"But now, I think that if I could understand why Cyrus began denying his own heart, even if I couldn't accept it, we could at least live in the same world. I've learned that accepting someone doesn't mean sharing everything with them."

"Cyrus despaired of this world because he had a heart. We're together like this now because we have hearts. Cyrus and I think differently. Perhaps we could live in the same world, but I don't know how to reach him."

When confronted with Cyrus, all she had done was reject him. Cynthia regretted that. In truth, Cynthia and Cyrus had different hearts. She did not know the right way to meet him halfway, because their ways of living were fundamentally different.
