Caitlin was one of the Isshu Region's Elite Four, but she had originally been the owner of the Battle Castle, one of the Sinnoh Region's Battle Frontier facilities. Now that Caitlin was a member of the Elite Four, it seemed Cochran and the members of the Cochran Family were the ones running the Battle Castle.
The headquarters of Caitlin's family was also in the Noh Region. As a result, Caitlin occasionally returned to the Sinnoh Region.

When raising Metagross, Kaim had based his approach on Steven's and Caitlin's methods. Partly because the training theory had already been established, Metagross had relatively quickly gained enough strength to count as part of Kaim's fighting force. Kaim had benefited greatly, too, so he wanted to thank her again.

The Elite Four were the Pokémon League's top Trainers. Even if they were not as busy as the Champion, they ought to be quite busy.

The work of the Elite Four could hardly be easy. Kaim doubted any butler would enjoy having it suddenly dumped on him by Caitlin, the future head of the family. He did not know how the butler felt, but inwardly, Kaim pitied him.
