Tugen Oukan sent out Hagana Haagen-Dazs, while Kaim Kaim sent out Lucario Lucario. Hagana was a Steel/Ground-type, and Lucario was a Steel/Fighting-type. Facing each other, both could exploit the other's weakness, but Lucario, raised as a physical attacker, was at a disadvantage. Aggron's Attack was not particularly high, but its physical defense ranked among the best of all Pokémon. The key was how much damage Lucario's attacks could deal to Hagana.
"Steelix, Jishin!"
"Electro Color Card!"
Lucario moved at high speed, dodging Bulldoze before Hagana could unleash its shock wave.
"Ooh! Don't do that! Then this is best!"
"Don't make me do this. Close Combat."
Just as Steelix tried to boost its defense with "Up," Lucario unleashed a flurry of attacks, closing in at lightning speed. It should have been a powerful, effective move, but Hagna had not lost much stamina.
"That's it! Seriously?"
"Don't underestimate Hagana's defense! Iron Tail!"
"Electro Color Card!"
Aggron's Iron Tail aimed for Lucario, but Lucario immediately retreated, evading it with the speed of "Dragon Sekka."
Just like Cynthia's Lucario.
Cynthia's Lucario could use Extreme Speed to maneuver. Normally, Pokémon could not control their speed and could only follow it up with consecutive attacks, but through constant training, Cynthia's Lucario had gained complete control.
Kaim's Lucario, however, had not reached that level. Although its speed was somewhat controllable now, it was not yet ready for use in actual combat. They had therefore decided to use the slower but comparatively easier-to-control "Electrician Corporation."
I see-it goes from zero to top speed. Haagen-Dazs can't catch it.
Hagana was clearly slower than Lucario. At that speed, catching Lucario was impossible.
Yet no matter how fast you were, your stamina had limits. You could not keep dodging forever. With hardly any attacks getting through, Lucario would be at a
