After finishing my battle, we stayed in the stadium to watch the other semifinal.
"This Silver looks like a tough opponent." Brock rested his chin on his hand in thought.
"I battled him before coming to the Indigo Plateau, and he beat me." I told Brock what had happened.
"So he's good at combining moves..." Brock listened as I described Umbreon's move combinations.
After watching Silver's semifinal, we returned to the competitors' village to prepare for the upcoming final.
"Heal Bell... Heal Bell..." Just then, Serena's, Brock's, and my phones rang almost simultaneously...
"Ash, something terrible's happened. The weather around Pallet Town has gone haywire!" It was Mom's voice.
"Serena, it suddenly started snowing heavily outside Celadon City! Is everything all right at the Indigo Plateau?" Saki's voice came from Serena's phone.
"Brock, an abnormally strong wind suddenly hit Pewter City! It's almost blowing the houses apart!" The voice from Brock's phone belonged to his younger brother, Jiro.
We immediately went outside to check. Although it wasn't as extreme as everyone had described over the phone, the weather certainly felt strange.
It was the middle of summer. Why was there an autumn wind cold enough to make us shiver?
"I heard the weather's gone strange all over Kanto."
"Shouldn't we hurry home and check?"
Tourists on the streets were discussing it too.
