Thunder Bird and Fire Bird spiraled around each other, like fighter jets performing aerobatics.
Suddenly, the two birds opened their beaks and released a ball of electricity and a ball of fire...
"Tri Attack!"
Tri Attack combined the powers of fire, ice, and electricity. Some believed the move had originally come from the Legendary Birds themselves.
Without Articuno's power, however, Tri Attack was incomplete. It could only form a straight line, with a Fire-type attack at one end and an Electric-type attack at the other.
(Imagine it without the ice ball in the lower right, with the balls of electricity and fire forming a straight line instead.)
"How is that Tri Attack? Shouldn't you call it a straight-line attack?" I instinctively shouted my thoughts toward the fortress.
"Hmph! You're at death's door, and you're still running your mouth!"
The move's name and appearance didn't matter. The straight-line attack formed by those balls of fire and electricity was clearly powerful, and I wasn't sure Articuno could withstand it.
Suddenly, a massive figure approached at incredible speed through the churning waves near the shore, swimming the butterfly stroke...
Despite that figure's enormous size, it was remarkably agile. With a push of both arms, it launched itself out of the water and blocked Fire Bird and Thunder Bird's combined attack.
"Snor!" Who else could that butterfly-swimming fellow be but my Snorlax?
"Fire Bird and Thunder Bird's combined attack was stopped by a mere Snorlax?" Bishas let out a shriek of disbelief.
