Later, my stamina finally hit its limit, so I rested for a while before going to the beach with Meimo for some special training. It was safer to use Fire-type moves there; otherwise, I was worried about starting a forest fire! I had Heatran, Amaura, and Braixen join Louise in battling wild Water-type Pokémon. There happened to be plenty of brown, kelp-like Skrelp, so we picked a few to battle. Of course, fighting Water- and Poison-type Skrelp was harder for Fire-types, but Braixen and Heatran did me proud, defeating the unevolved Skrelp with Fire-type moves. Amaura had no trouble either, and Louise certainly had none.
Meimo got bored and headed back first. Our next challenge was a group of Dragalge! We picked a few near the shore for some sparring. Naturally, we weren't deliberately trying to seriously injure the wild Dragalge; at most, we pitted Braixen's Flamethrower against Dragalge's Water Gun. Flamethrower eventually won, while Heatran's Magma Storm outright evaporated the nearby seawater.
Louise's training was a little different. She needed to master Brick Break for close combat, so I had her fight Dragalge. Although Dragalge had the Poison Point ability, which could poison Pokémon, Louise's Steel typing made her immune to poison. She knocked several Dragalge into the water, and they fled after diving beneath the surface. I felt that her speed, accuracy, and power had all improved as I had hoped.
The next day, I first sent Braixen out against the green-hatted Ramos's Jumpluff. Its Acrobatics was pretty good, but it couldn't hit Braixen at all. The training had paid off, and Braixen knocked Jumpluff out with a single Flamethrower.
Ramos's next Pokémon, Gogoat, was a little stronger. Braixen was badly injured by Take Down and Stomp, but her Blaze ability activated again, and she defeated Gogoat with
