As I watched the powder ground from leaves fill the sky, I remembered the day I first met Uncle Wang...
I was in my fourth year of secondary school then. My brother had suffered burns in a Clefairy battle, so I went to the hospital after school to visit him.
"Woof, woof!"
Hearing that Chihuahua-like bark on the way, I turned around. "Aah!!!"
"Woof!"
It was an Eevee, a Pokémon.
"No! Stay away!" I waved my hands to keep it from coming closer.
"Big Tail, don't scare people!" an old man shouted as he ran over.
"Hah, hah..." The old man had a big belly and wiped his sweat with the towel draped over his shoulder. "Little Sister, are you all right?"
"Yes."
With that, I hugged my schoolbag and left.
After visiting my brother, I ate in the cafeteria.
"Little Sister, aren't you lonely sitting here all by yourself?" The old man's voice rang out again.
There weren't many people in the hospital cafeteria, so he spotted me even though I was sitting in a corner.
"I'm fine," I said coldly.
"What's with young people these days? So cold! Right, Big Tail?" The old man looked at the Eevee in his arms.
The instant I saw that Eevee, I gripped my tray tightly.
"No..." I took a deep breath.
"Woof!" It suddenly jumped onto the table.
"Stay away!!!!" I was so frightened that I flipped the entire tray over.
Even the few remaining voices in the cafeteria fell silent. Only the clatter of the tray hitting the floor echoed.
"Little Sister, do you have Pokémon phobia?"
"Little Sister, why don't you let me treat you?"
I had thought the old man would stop pestering me after I overturned my tray in the cafeteria.
"Don't you have work to do?"
