The next day, Chu Xin arrived at the Kendo Championship venue. The summit of Wudang Mountain had been deserted enough to begin with, but now there were pitifully few competitors left: just the eight who had advanced to the quarterfinals.
Chu Xin glanced around the summit of Wudang Mountain. There seemed to be more staff than competitors, which really surprised him.
When Taoist Xiao Lu saw Chu Xin arrive at the Kendo Tournament, he walked over to him.
"You're pretty early. There's still more than half an hour before the matches start."
Chu Xin narrowed his eyes at Xiao Lu beside him, then furtively checked the staff around them. He breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, no one was looking their way.
"Aren't you worried they'll report you for giving me special treatment? You're on the staff. Could you at least be a little more discreet?"
After hearing that, Xiao Lu gave him a disdainful look.
"You still care about that? Nothing happened the last few days, did it? What's there to be afraid of?"
A little irritated, Chu Xin sneakily reached out and poked Xiao Lu with a finger.
"That was then, and this is now. There were still plenty of people during the preliminaries and the Top 16 matches. But now that we're in the quarterfinals, there are more staff than competitors. Aren't you afraid people will gossip?"
After hearing Chu Xin out, Xiao Lu helplessly patted his forehead, then pointed off to one side.
Chu Xin followed his finger and saw Tian Leyan, the girl, with a plainly dressed Buddhist nun standing beside her.
"See that nun over there? She's the Deputy Gym Master of the Emei Dojo, and she's also on the Kendo Tournament staff."
Seeing the surprise on Chu Xin's face, Xiao Lu sighed helplessly.
