Watching Chu Xin act all mysterious, Shu Le couldn't help frowning. Once Chu Xin had left, she turned to Ai Xing beside her.
"Is this kid reliable?"
Ai Xing smiled and patted his chest. "Relax. Since the boss said there wouldn't be a problem, he's sure to win this match. That'll save us a lot of trouble, too."
Shu Le still felt uneasy as she watched Chu Xin step into the arena. Then she strode away on her long legs to make some preparations, so she could pick up the pieces if he lost.
Ai Xing paid no mind to Shu Le's departure. If she wanted to keep busy, she could go right ahead. He had complete confidence in Chu Xin anyway. With Shu Le handling the aftermath, he could sit back and enjoy the match, getting some rest in the process.
After leaving Ai Xing and Shu Le, Chu Xin followed a staff member into the arena. Genjiro stepped into the arena opposite him as well.
Looking at Chu Xin across from him, Genjiro greeted him with a smile.
"I've watched your matches. You're strong! But I have to win this next match."
Chu Xin looked at Genjiro with a flicker of excitement. He had thought the standard of this Kendo Championship was pretty low, but he hadn't expected to meet an opponent like Genjiro.
"If you want the championship, you'll have to get past me first. I'm going all out in this match!"
