As Chu Xin switched on the power, electricity began flowing through the equipment beneath Electrike's feet. Yellow currents surged into the Rotom, and the ring they formed began spinning rapidly above the device.
Thin strands of electricity passed through the ring, forming lines that connected to Electrike in the center. The currents stimulated her flesh, making her body feel slightly numb.
"How does that feel, Electrike? Is your body feeling any better?"
Electrike shook her head. This level of current posed no challenge to her at all. It merely made her tingle a little.
Chu Xin breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed the training equipment formed by the Rotom could function normally after all.
That was only natural, though. This session was merely a test to see whether the Rotom could work properly, so the current had been set to its lowest level. Electrike had no need to activate her Lightning Rod Ability for electricity this weak. Her body alone could withstand it easily.
Now that they knew the training could proceed normally, it was time to begin in earnest.
At Chu Xin's nod, Luo Luo began directing its fellow Rotom to increase the voltage.
Chu Xin checked the voltage on the training apparatus. It was only a hundred volts. That was already enough to kill a human, but it had no effect whatsoever on miraculous creatures like Pokémon. For Electric-type Pokémon in particular, it was not even as high as the voltage inside their own bodies.
Next, Chu Xin instructed the Rotom to raise the voltage, starting Electrike off with an increase of a thousand volts.
