Bai Yuan was deeply embarrassed. He had been telling his friends about his older brother, only for Bai Le himself to hear every word. Getting caught by the very person he was talking about was awkward, to say the least.
Bai Le looked at Bai Yuan with mixed emotions in his eyes. After a moment of silence, he spoke.
"Mom told me you had an argument at home and ran off. I asked around for ages before finding out you'd come back to Jindu Academy. I came here intending to comfort you, but I never imagined you argued with the family because of me."
Bai Le sighed helplessly, his gaze full of conflicting emotions as he looked at Bai Yuan.
"I never thought I'd put you under so much pressure as your older brother. I'm sorry."
"You don't need to apologize. This happened because I'm weak."
Bai Yuan offered an explanation after hearing Bai Le apologize, but judging by Bai Le's expression, he hadn't taken it to heart.
"Come home with me, little brother. I'll explain everything to the family."
"No. I'm not going back."
Bai Le grew anxious at Bai Yuan's refusal and urgently grabbed his hand.
"But you're still a kid. How are you going to live if you don't come home? Are you planning to train on your own and become a Pokémon Trainer? That's impossible. Come back with me and apologize to the family. I'll explain everything to Mom and Dad."
"No, I'm not going back. I haven't done anything wrong!"
Bai Yuan pulled his hand out of Bai Le's grip and glared at Bai Yuan.
"I told you, I'm not relying on their help this time. I'll achieve something through my own strength and prove to them that I have what it takes!"
