After another round of reassurance, Bai Le finally regained his confidence and began thinking of ways to defeat Mega Scizor. But no matter how hard the two of them thought, they could not come up with a way to beat him.
"Can we really beat that Mega Scizor? He's incredibly strong after Mega Evolution. How could there be a Pokémon like that in the Secret Realm?"
With Luo Luo's help, every idea Bai Le and Chu Xin proposed underwent a battle simulation and an analysis of its chances of success. Yet none of them had a win rate higher than 8%.
Finally, Bai Le could not help complaining again. As he recalled the imposing Mega Scizor in the Secret Realm, disappointment returned to his eyes.
Of course we can't beat him. He's a Titled Elite Four member's main Pokémon!
Chu Xin grumbled inwardly, but he did not say any of it aloud. It had already taken a lot of effort to restore Bai Le's confidence, and he did not want to crush it again by revealing that fact.
"Forget it. The gap in strength is too obvious. Luo Luo, list the tactics we analyzed earlier that had the highest chances of success."
Luo Luo soon listed the tactics Chu Xin and Bai Le had previously proposed that offered the best chances of winning.
Mega Scizor was absurdly strong. No matter what approach Bai Le and Chu Xin took, they could not confront him head-on. Mega Scizor could wipe out all their Pokémon in an instant, so they would have to exploit the terrain if they wanted to defeat him.
During their earlier exploration, Chu Xin and Bai Le had entered the cave containing the Heracross Mega Evolution Stone. Mega Scizor would have to stay in that cave to guard it.
