With Luo Luo's help, Xiao Wu and Kaka's training became far more efficient. The two came to value Luo Luo more and more, even somewhat more than they valued Chu Xin, their Trainer.
Still, Chu Xin was happy to take it easy. Now he only had to hand Xiao Wu and Kaka's training assignments over to Luo Luo, then relax himself. It had been ages since he'd enjoyed such leisurely days of slacking off!
Three days finally passed, and the school term officially began. Chu Xin, who had been hiding in his dorm room resting all this time, had no choice but to come out for the Freshman Assembly. Most academies had outstanding freshmen give speeches at the assembly. Fortunately, Jindu Academy had no such custom, inviting outstanding upperclassmen to speak instead. Chu Xin breathed a sigh of relief. Giving a speech onstage really wasn't his thing.
Class assignments came after the speeches. Luckily, Chu Xin ended up in the same class as Zhuo Xing and Bai Yuan. Once they entered the classroom, Bai Yuan couldn't wait to seek him out. Although Zhuo Xing maintained a cool expression, she also edged closer to Chu Xin.
"Chu Xin, you really are something. You hid in your dorm for three days, and every time I came looking for you, you refused to open the door. Are you that scared of me?"
Bai Yuan hooked an arm around Chu Xin's neck, looking as though he wouldn't let go without an explanation.
Zhuo Xing didn't lay a hand on him, but her expression was equally unhappy. Apparently, even if Bai Yuan hadn't made a move, Chu Xin still wouldn't have gotten past her.
Chu Xin looked helplessly at the two of them. Do you two seriously have no idea why I've been avoiding you?
