Poliwrath was a powerful Pokémon, but that did not mean Chu Xin had no chance of winning.
"Kaka, go."
Chu Xin released Kaka from his Poké Ball. Across from him, the Bandit Taoist frowned and gave Chu Xin a surprised look.
A Farfetch'd? Was he treating this assessment as a joke?
Poliwrath also looked down on Kaka, but Kaka had clearly experienced this sort of thing many times before. He faced Poliwrath calmly. The best way to deal with anyone who underestimated him was to beat them into submission.

But the Taoist's Poliwrath was strong, too. He quickly pulled back his attack and used Bounce, trying to evade Kaka's strike.
Hit them while they're down!
There was no way Kaka would let his opponent get away so easily. Carelessness came at a price.
Poliwrath was fast, but after activating Burst Aura, Kaka could still follow him with ease. Wherever Poliwrath dodged, a leek came slashing toward his weak points.
The Taoist standing to the side had lost his earlier composure. Of course he could tell that this Farfetch'd was absurdly strong. He had underestimated his opponent!
"Use Mind's Eye to sense your opponent's attacks and dodge him."
Having shaken Kaka off once again,
