As soon as the match began, Kaka charged fiercely at Pawniard. Already accustomed to this, Pawniard deftly raised his hand blades to block. This Farfetch'd was extraordinarily gifted, after all. Despite being a mere Farfetch'd, he was ridiculously fast, too fast for even Pawniard to catch. Pawniard could only defend and counterattack.

After his slash missed, Kaka lunged at Pawniard again, thrusting his leek straight at Pawniard's face. Having only just gotten up, Pawniard had no chance to dodge. He could barely block with both hand blades before Kaka sent him flying. He crashed to the ground, kicking up dust.
Kaka watched the billowing dust without moving. He did not believe Pawniard would go down so easily. If he recklessly attacked, Pawniard would only ambush him from behind the dust's cover. Unhurriedly, Kaka raised his leek and settled into his attack stance again, waiting for Pawniard to emerge.
Before long, the dust settled, revealing Pawniard before Kaka. He had not used its cover to attack Kaka, because he knew he was slower. A reckless attack would only drag him back into Kaka's offensive rhythm. Instead, the dust had given Pawniard a brief rest and disrupted Kaka's momentum.
