"No..." A rare look of hesitation crossed Sol's face. "It was more as though these things suddenly appeared in my mind. I had no right to refuse, nor any reason to, because they not only gave me more abilities, but also made my mental power stronger."
"Hmm..."
After hearing Sol's telepathic reply, Yue Chen felt a faint sense of foreboding.
Surely things wouldn't go that far? Yue Chen wondered. But what if it really did happen? At that thought, he couldn't help drawing a sharp breath, only to choke on the foul, scorching air.
Unlike Long Haochen and Haoyue, he and Sol weren't bound by a blood pact.
But remembering Sol's pitiful cultivation speed, Yue Chen decided he was worrying too much. At this rate, even sacrificing the entire Holy Demon Continent probably wouldn't let Sol grow powerful enough to destroy the world.
"Then will possessing and using your power have any side effects on me?" Yue Chen asked instead.
Although being able to wield three elements had certainly made Yue Chen stronger, he never felt entirely at ease when using this power.
"I don't know," Sol answered bluntly.
"You don't know?" Hearing that answer, Yue Chen could no longer sit still.
"After all, you're the only human so far to have obtained my power this way." Sol's casual remark left Yue Chen dumbfounded.
"Although I can't answer that question, I shouldn't let you come all this way for nothing," Sol suddenly said telepathically.
"Hmm?" Yue Chen immediately looked expectantly at Sol, who hovered before him.
"Those two weapons of yours broke, didn't they?" Sol asked. "The two Knight Longswords that have received my energy so many times."
"Yes." The mention of his former weapons only worsened Yue Chen's mood.
"Take them out." Sol's voice echoed in Yue Chen's mind.
