Why Aren't You Following the Script?!

After Ayanokoji left, no one knew what Yang Cheng and Sae Chabashira discussed in the end.

But when they went their separate ways, Sae Chabashira was visibly relieved.

Yang Cheng had finally promised her that, as long as it did not go against his own wishes, he would do what he could to help Class D.

Honestly, Sae Chabashira was already quite satisfied with that outcome.

Even if Yang Cheng simply coasted along, as long as he did not join another first-year class and become Class D's enemy, Sae Chabashira considered that a tremendous help.

Early the next morning, every student in Class D arrived in the classroom right on time.

After yesterday's class meeting, they all knew that breaking school rules by arriving late or leaving early would cost them class points, which would affect the private points they received.

But compared to the laughter and chatter of a month ago, most of Class D's students now looked listless.

The few people Yang Cheng had interacted with last night, however, looked perfectly normal today, no different from usual.

Suzune Horikita remained cold and unapproachable, while Kikyo Kushida was still surrounded by her classmates.

Ayanokoji remained expressionless. When he saw Yang Cheng, he simply greeted him as usual, as though nothing had happened last night.

Seeing Yang Cheng sit down beside her, Suzune had been about to say something, only for two enormous melons to suddenly lean over his desk.

Naturally, the only girl in Class D with a bust that rivaled Sae Chabashira's was Kikyo Kushida.

She bent forward, planting both hands on Yang Cheng's desk, and addressed him with a sweet smile. "Yang Cheng, to prepare for the upcoming midterms,

"Ike and Yamauchi just asked me to help tutor them, so I thought I'd invite you too. Would you be interested...?"

The uniforms at Advanced Nurturing High School actually had fairly high necklines.

But Kikyo Kushida was so generously endowed that, with her bending forward and Yang Cheng looking from his particular angle, he was getting quite an eyeful.

Yang Cheng also knew perfectly well that Kikyo Kushida had not come over just to give him a treat. She was here to stir up trouble.

She deliberately acted as though she and Yang Cheng were extremely close, all while watching Suzune Horikita's expression out of the corner of her eye.

And thanks to her invitation, Ike and Yamauchi, two members of Class D's trio of academic disasters, were now giving him decidedly hostile looks.

Studying had naturally been a secondary concern when they asked Kikyo Kushida to tutor them. Their real goal was to find a chance to spend time with Kushida.

What they had not expected was for Kikyo Kushida to invite Yang Cheng too.

And judging by the way Kikyo Kushida treated Yang Cheng, the two seemed quite close.

Ike and Yamauchi knew their own limitations. If they were hanging around a handsome guy like Yang Cheng, what chance would they have?

Besides, hadn't everyone in class been saying that Yang Cheng liked Suzune Horikita, their unattainable beauty?

What was going on now? Was he going to use that handsome face to get his hands on their goddess, Kikyo Kushida, too? Wasn't that fucking greedy!

Yang Cheng saw straight through Kikyo Kushida's little scheme.

But she had probably misunderstood. There was nothing going on between him and Suzune Horikita in the first place, so all this flirting did was give him a free show.

As for Ike and Yamauchi, why would he care about a couple of small fry?

Yang Cheng watched her breasts, while Kikyo Kushida watched Suzune Horikita.

When she saw Suzune Horikita's surprise and confusion, a satisfied look crossed Kikyo Kushida's face.

She had been right all along. Suzune Horikita cared so much about her and Yang Cheng because those two really did have something going on!

Although Yang Cheng had something on Kikyo Kushida that prevented her from doing anything to Suzune Horikita,

she could still behave in ways that would mislead Suzune Horikita and damage their relationship.

Kikyo Kushida even thought that stealing Yang Cheng away would be the perfect way to hurt Suzune Horikita and get revenge.

While Kikyo Kushida continued spinning her fantasies, she had no idea that Suzune Horikita was thinking about something else entirely.

Watching Kikyo Kushida, she was indeed surprised and wondered when Yang Cheng and Kikyo Kushida had become so close.

And she did feel a little upset, but Suzune stubbornly insisted that her displeasure came solely from Kikyo Kushida's rather indecent behavior.

"Thank you for inviting me, Kushida, but I'm fairly confident in my grades. I should be able to handle the exams without any trouble.

"Tutoring both Ike and Yamauchi by yourself is already a lot of work, so I won't join..."

Yang Cheng had enjoyed enough of the view. Partly because he hated hassle, and partly because he worried that Kikyo Kushida would stir up more trouble, he was ready to turn her down without a second thought.

But before he could finish refusing, Suzune Horikita suddenly spoke up beside him. "Kushida, we'll both be joining that study group you mentioned.

"And if possible, could you invite Sudo as well? Sorry for the trouble.

"If I remember correctly, he's also one of the students with the worst grades in our class, isn't he?"

Suzune Horikita's words left both Yang Cheng and Kikyo Kushida dumbfounded.

This beauty with her long, straight black hair wasn't following the script!

No, more importantly, when had he agreed to join some study group with her?

Kikyo Kushida wanted to fight with you over a personal grudge, Suzune Horikita. What did that have to do with me?

"That's wonderful! I'll try asking Sudo too.

"I really didn't expect you to accept my invitation as well, Horikita. I'm so happy."

Kikyo Kushida had no idea what Suzune Horikita was up to, but she was not intimidated in the slightest.

If anything, this was an opportunity she could only have dreamed of.

"Then it's settled. After school, let's go to the library together to review."

Suzune Horikita naturally had no objections to Kikyo Kushida's suggestion. She had been wondering how, with her terrible social standing, she could persuade the class's three academic disasters to study hard and stop dragging Class D down.

Just when she needed a helping hand, Kikyo Kushi-

-da had delivered one herself.

Both Kikyo Kushida and Suzune Horikita were quite pleased with the decision to form a study group.

Only Yang Cheng looked completely bewildered. Wait, did either of you ask for my opinion?
