"Waterbird River Xue Ge..." Pakura pondered for a moment in the stands. "Hmm... the one who killed that Kumogakure Jonin squad last year?"
Dodai's face darkened as he looked at Pakura.
Bringing that up right in front of him-she just had to touch a sore spot.
Pakura raised an eyebrow at Dodai and pressed her palm downward.
There was no point avoiding something embarrassing. Avoiding it only made it more embarrassing.
Her words left even Hiruzen a little embarrassed, though he felt some pride as well.
He nodded. "That's right. Xue Ge is that boy. It should be almost two years since he graduated."
"By that count, he isn't even eight yet."
When Xue Ge's age was mentioned, Pakura's expression changed too.
Anyone who cared to investigate the annihilation of the Kumogakure Jonin squad could more or less find out that Xue Ge hadn't done it alone.
At the very least, those two Jonin definitely weren't his kills. A Genin killing two Jonin was simply a fairy tale.
But even so, for Xue Ge to kill one or two members of that squad was already far beyond what a Genin could accomplish.
Moreover, according to his mission record, this boy had actually completed two S-rank missions as a Genin.
A genius like that...
"Konoha really is lucky. After every war, a genius like this emerges."
Pakura shook her head with a bitter smile.
Sunagakure's environment was too harsh, and its population too sparse. Whether in development potential or capacity for war, it lagged far behind Konoha.
That left Pakura feeling melancholy.
Hiruzen chuckled. "Don't worry. Konoha is a peaceful nation. We hope to maintain friendly, cooperative relations with every country."
"Whether it's Sunagakure, Kumogakure, Iwagakure, or Kirigakure, we can all cooperate."
"Then I hope Konoha can give us plenty of
