On July 31, Year 1495 of the Sea Circle Calendar, the Oran Empire and the World Government finally completed their preparations after several months of ceasefire, and their armies gathered once more on the abandoned island.
Judging by the forces both sides now displayed, this would be the largest clash since the Marineford battlefield opened, surpassing even the first great battle when it was established by a considerable margin.
That much was apparent from Zhang Liang and Saint Saturn, who led the two sides. They had also been the ones involved in Marineford's last Overlord-level battle, though Marineford had not yet become the blood-soaked battlefield it was today when they last fought.
Zhang Liang and Saint Saturn stood apart in the sky, their black and white Haki covering the skies on either side of Marineford.
Each had a double-digit number of Admiral-level powerhouses behind him. The two sides' auras collided fiercely, making quite a few of the weaker people feel their breathing catch.
Just as the two sides faced off, an ill-timed voice rang out.
"Mamamama! It's so lively here! How could I miss a lively occasion like this?"
Hearing that familiar voice, everyone knew Charlotte Linlin had arrived. Sixteen flamboyant figures appeared alongside her.
Four wore black coats modeled after the Akatsuki Organization's designs, covering almost their entire bodies and lending them an air of mystery.
The other twelve went even further. Each wore golden Battle Armor bright enough to blind everyone, immediately drawing every eye.
