"All right, everyone, take a break."
Xie Wen clapped his hands, bringing Nami and the others' training to a halt.
"Big Brother Xie Wen, is there really no way for me to learn that Demon Mode you mentioned?"
Drenched in sweat, Nami walked over, dragging a long staff. Behind her was Nojiko, equally drenched in sweat and likewise dragging a long staff.
Xie Wen first tossed the sisters a towel each, then reassured them, "Didn't I tell you? It doesn't matter if you can't learn it. Rather than spend your energy on a power you can't master, you might as well think about awakening Haki. You've seen what Haki can do, haven't you?"
"But why does Haki feel even harder to learn than Demon Mode...?" Nami muttered with a pout.
"Of course it does. This power is rare even in the first half of the Grand Line. If you really master it, forget the East Blue-you'll be able to go wherever you please throughout the Four Seas."
"We don't have a clue about either power, so why are you so certain we can learn Haki but not Demon Mode?" Nojiko asked, picking up the conversation.
"Obviously, because other people besides me have mastered Haki." Xie Wen came up with excuses effortlessly. "It's like how Sanji can generate electricity all over his body by rubbing his fur. Some things can't be accomplished through hard work alone. But with Armament Haki, as long as you work hard to train your body, there's a very good chance you'll master it."
"All right! I'll do another ten sets of Weighted Frog Jumps!"
Nami raised her fist and shouted enthusiastically, then took Nojiko by the hand to go do some extra training.
Xie Wen had no intention of stopping them. People in the One Piece
