As the Army Commander of the Revolutionary Army's South Army, Lindbergh was primarily responsible for affairs in the South Blue. The Kingdom of Ziado was the country they had recently been planning to overthrow, and the Revolutionary Army had also uncovered the military force that collected money for Ziado's royal family under the guise of pirates.
To the Revolutionary Army, the Kingdom of Ziado would be no match for them even with these "pirates." But beyond overthrowing these tyrannical, incompetent rulers, their greater goal was to spread their ideas and inspire resistance in the civilians who had already grown numb. That was why the Revolutionary Army tried to get those civilians involved in the fighting as well.
So these "pirates," who might join the battle midway through or retaliate afterward, had to be dealt with first.
Lindbergh had originally planned to attack from the air while these "pirates" were resting and wipe them all out with his specially made Sleeping Bombs.
Coincidentally, Xie Wen had the same idea. Unlike the Revolutionary Army, however, he had no intention of taking them prisoner and bringing them back for ideological reform and reform through labor. Killing them all, then trading the valuable heads for bounties-that was how Xie Wen had always operated.
And so, two parties with similar yet different objectives ran into each other. Xie Wen had simply arrived a little earlier; by the time Lindbergh finally showed up, he had already finished killing everyone.
"Hm? Mink Tribe children?"
Naturally, Lindbergh spotted Xie Wen and the others from the sky, since they made no attempt to hide. Just as naturally, he mistook the Palicoes for young members of the Mink Tribe.
"Isn't he that bounty hunter who's gotten pretty famous lately? He's actually bringing Mink Tribe children along on something this dangerous!"
