Xie Wen and his cats toured Dressrosa while discussing Meowrah’s early work on spatial teleportation, and Shalmy spotted a distant observer. Doflamingo learned that Xie Wen was heading toward Green Bit and prepared for the possibility that he would discover the Tontatta and Princess Mansherry.
Xie Wen and his companions crossed the bridge to Green Bit, where the Tontatta demanded their weapons and threatened to strip them. When the group refused, Leo ordered an attack, and Jinx Meow charged out to fight.
Jinx Meow subdued the Tontatta, and Xie Wen persuaded them that he had come to help defeat Doflamingo and rescue Princess Mansherry. Doflamingo then arrived and invited Xie Wen to a royal banquet, mentioning that CP0 was visiting as well.
Xie Wen agreed to meet the CP0 agents Doflamingo had summoned while remaining wary of his plans for the Tontatta and their princess. Doflamingo led Xie Wen and the others toward a prepared feast, but his attempt to use toy carriages to spy on them failed when Klee Meow refused the toys.
Xie Wen met CP0 agents Guernica, Joseph, and Gismonda at Dressrosa's Royal Palace, but Guernica's promise not to interfere disrupted the confrontation Xie Wen had expected. Xie Wen redirected Doflamingo toward Trafalgar Law, whose accusations about Corazon and Vergo left Doflamingo under the CP0 agents' scrutiny.
Law confronted Doflamingo over Corazon’s death and Vergo’s betrayal, while Xie Wen complicated the standoff by provoking the Heavenly Yaksha and pushing for a Davy Back Fight. Law accepted Doflamingo’s duel wager, and the chapter ended with Xie Wen realizing Doflamingo had a specific interest in including Kuma.
Doflamingo accepted Xie Wen’s Davy Back Fight proposal, expecting to trade subordinates for two cats, but CP0 ordered him to take Nico Robin as well. Doflamingo reluctantly complied and began planning how to make Xie Wen compete first.
Xie Wen prepared a decoy for Shalmeow while she carried out their plan, then entered the Bullfighting Colosseum to begin a Davy Back Fight against Doflamingo. The chapter ended as Xie Wen faced five of Doflamingo’s officers with the Kitty Darling Bow.
Xie Wen fought Dellinger, Lao G, Machvise, Diamante, and Senor Pink in the Colosseum, quickly defeating Machvise and Senor Pink while the others attacked. The remaining Donquixote officers continued the battle, and Xie Wen realized he had become too caught up in fighting to stall for time.
Xie Wen fought Diamante, Lao G, and Dellinger in the arena, hoping to stall for time but quickly defeating most of them. After Diamante proved difficult to hit with arrows, Xie Wen switched to his sword and charged at him.
Xie Wen chose Viola to join his group, then watched Kuma face Doflamingo’s officer Pica in the arena. Kuma annihilated Pica and the arena with Ursus Shock, leaving Doflamingo stunned.
Kuma defeated Pica, and Xie Wen exposed Sugar’s role in Dressrosa’s forgotten history, restoring the transformed toys to their human forms. As King Riku revealed Doflamingo’s crimes to the kingdom, Law began the third round by attacking Doflamingo.
Xie Wen’s cats battled Doflamingo’s officers while the evacuation of the Corrida Colosseum continued. The cats defeated or subdued their assigned opponents, and Meowrah tested the Mechanical Bird’s weapons on Buffalo.
Monet exhausted herself defeating Klee Meow’s Dudu Bear, but a newly summoned Kuma-inspired bear knocked her unconscious and Xie Wen captured her. Meanwhile, Jinx Meow shrugged off Gladius’s explosions and challenged him to explain what he had supposedly hit.
Jinx Meow overwhelmed Gladius with explosive attacks, while Sanji Meow broke free of Jora’s Art-Art Fruit ability and defeated her. Both victories ended with the sound of a crack, leaving the cats facing an unexplained disturbance.
Robin defeated Baby 5 and tried to recruit her by exposing how the Donquixote Family treated her, then fought Lao G with Baby 5’s help. After Robin knocked Lao G down, a dark green figure attacked her from the side.
Robin and Baby 5 survived a CP0 assassination attempt, but Xie Wen intervened and confronted the agents over attacking his companion. Before their fight could begin, the ground cracked and collapsed beneath everyone, leaving them plunging into a sudden sinkhole.
Xie Wen and the cats regrouped after the battle at Corrida Colosseum, discovering Jinx Meow had devastated part of the arena and likely killed Gladius. Robin then explained that she had recruited Baby 5 as both a maid and a weapon who could change forms, leaving Xie Wen stunned.
Xie Wen’s group captured more of Doflamingo’s crew while Baby 5 joined them, and Xie Wen learned that Mansherry was still in Doflamingo’s custody. After Luo asked Xie Wen for help, Doflamingo claimed victory in their Davy Back Fight, but Xie Wen rejected the rules and prepared to settle their personal score.
Xie Wen fought Doflamingo while Robin and the others moved Luo and the prisoners to safety. After drinking Ai Haibara Meow’s prototype rage potion to focus his will and test his swordsmanship, Xie Wen unleashed his ultimate attack as Doflamingo countered with his own.
Xie Wen defeated Doflamingo, captured the Donquixote Family, and began extracting Devil Fruits from the prisoners. He let Law take revenge on Doflamingo by shooting him, leaving the former Celestial Dragon’s fate in Law’s hands.
After Doflamingo’s defeat, Xie Wen collected the Donquixote Family’s spoils and discovered that Jora and Monet had yielded incomplete Palico Summoning Ticket fragments. He worried the Hunter’s Notes had changed their system, but found comfort in Klee Meow and continued preparing to leave the ship.
Xie Wen left Dellinger's fate in Shirahoshi's hands, tasking her with persuading him to repent before they returned to Fish-Man Island. After reaching Dressrosa, Xie Wen handed Doflamingo's corpse to Vice Admiral Doll and advised King Riku to investigate the arms-dealing accounts in the palace treasury, while planning to remain in Dressrosa for a few days.
After Doflamingo’s death, Xie Wen remained in Dressrosa, where Kyros dealt with opportunists and Xie Wen tested Baby 5’s weapon transformations while the Research Commission pursued its own projects. The group stayed to support Shirahoshi’s efforts with Dellinger, and Meowrah ultimately ate the Snow-Snow Fruit.
After Kuma and Bonney left Dressrosa, Xie Wen questioned Shirahoshi’s claim that Dellinger had changed and agreed to let her take him back to Fish-Man Island for the royal family to teach. The chapter ended with Xie Wen deciding not to kill Dellinger and an author’s note explaining why two powerful weapons would not suit the story.
