Thanos shuddered in alarm at the voice.
He had not noticed when the person speaking had appeared at all!
Even with his attention on the mystery boxes, he should not have been this oblivious.
More frightening still, even now, he could sense no one beside him.
He whipped his head around and saw an Earthling in a white shirt standing only a few meters away.
Nick Fury and the others stood beside him.
Nick Fury said, "Mr. Shopkeeper, this alien only arrived on Earth today. He heard about your mystery box shop and insisted on coming to take a look."
"Oh, I know him. Thanos," Su Yu said with a smile.
Seeing that Su Yu knew him, Nick Fury and the others were not surprised. As far as they were concerned, nothing Su Yu knew would strike them as strange.
But while they were not surprised, Thanos certainly was.
"You know me?"
"Of course. You're pretty famous, too. Not only do I know you, I also know your dream: collecting all the Infinity Stones, then performing the Snap. Right?" Su Yu said.
"You..."
Thanos was even more shocked. How did this man know?
He had only just begun searching for the Infinity Stones. He alone knew his goal; he had not told anyone yet.
"Surprised that I know?" Su Yu smiled faintly. "Not only do I know that, I also know that in the future, you succeeded, but you failed, too."
Thanos was startled again at his words. "...Can you see the future?"
But as far as he knew, the Time Stone was still with the Sorcerer Supreme.
Su Yu said, "Yes, the Time Stone is indeed still with the Sorcerer Supreme. But knowing the future, something so inconceivable to you, is merely a byproduct of being powerful."
Thanos fell
