"Yes! He was on a small island when I delivered the letter."
No wonder.
Edward asked again, "Can you locate Blondie's captain, Edwina, now?"
"Yes."
"All right. Sorry for the trouble, but please deliver a letter to her."
Of the four Special Coordinates, he still needed the last one. Edward did not have many options left. The simplest were a Mind World and the Book World of Groselle's Travels.
Though he called it a Mind World, the more accurate term was the Sea of Collective Subconscious. It was said to connect the consciousnesses of all living beings, so it could certainly qualify as a world.
In the original story, Audrey had entered the Sea of Collective Subconscious using Psychological Suggestion. In reality, however, doing so was extremely dangerous. Still, no matter how dangerous it was, he had to try.
The other option, Groselle's Travels, had its own problem: without reaching the story's ending, there was no way out. And reaching the ending meant that Groselle and his companions would reach the end of their lives.
Although Edward did not know them yet, most people had a deep impression of them, especially that couple. If they died because of him, he would feel somewhat uncomfortable about it.
Right, I remember that in the original story, after defeating the Frost Dragon, they pushed open a door. Only after everyone went outside did the passage of time catch up with them and cause their deaths.
Then, if the others stayed away from the gate when it opened, could they avoid being transported out of the Book World?
There was another possibility: the final gate was merely symbolic. The instant it opened signified the arrival of the ending, and the ending meant everyone would leave the Book World.
*Wouldn't they still have to die,
