Edward lifted the sofa cushion, took out a small leather pouch hidden inside, then brought out Groselle's Travels. "This is it. There's an imagined world inside this travelogue, and the City of Miracles, Liveseyd, is in that world."
Understanding dawned on Audrey. "So that's why He said you had the scent of Liveseyd on you."
"Exactly."
"Have you been inside?"
"Not yet. There are still some unresolved problems." Edward simply explained the information about Groselle's Travels.
Audrey looked distressed. "That's far too cruel. They've been trapped inside for hundreds, even thousands of years. They finally get a chance to come out, only to be erased by time."
"But you've already set all four Special Coordinates now. Until you have a foolproof solution, there's no need to go inside."
Edward shook his head. "Not necessarily."
"Why?"
"There are two ways to enter the world of the travelogue. One is voluntary-smearing blood, or bodily fluids, on it. The other is involuntary. Once you've possessed it for long enough, you'll be sucked inside against your will."
Edward spread his hands. "As you know, my Bookworm Moth needs to eat an ability every two days."
Although he now had the Black Emperor and Red Priest Cards of Blasphemy, both abilities he frequently used still depended on Groselle's Travels: [Theft] and [Prohibition].
"So if I suddenly disappear one day, there's a good chance I've entered this book. You'll just need to find two or three other people to smear blood on its cover along with you, and you can go inside to find me. Remember, you must have enough people, or you won't be able to reach the ending."
She nodded earnestly. "I understand."
"Then if you go inside when the time comes, will you really bring Anna along?"
