Before he could finish, Danitz shoved him aside, pulled out his revolver, and aimed it at the girl. Having spent years at sea, he would never readily display the slightest trace of slavish devotion to any woman other than his captain. No matter how beautiful a woman was, people still died when she killed them!
The girl narrowed her eyes with a smile. "Nice gun..."
She held out her fair, slender fingers, which now held a revolver identical to Danitz's-no, it was his-and smiled faintly. "It's mine now."

Memories he had buried came rushing back. Danitz would never forget the humiliation of his first meeting with Gehrman Sparrow (Edward). Back then, he had taken his gun in much the same way!
"Emlyn, don't just stand there! Run! Get the captain!"
Danitz squeezed the words out through gritted teeth, then stepped forward to buy him time.
But Emlyn did not budge. Instead, he stared at the girl opposite them with wide, shocked eyes. Danitz despaired. You had to pick now of all times to get interested in women?

An image flashed through Emlyn's mind: this girl was the person Mr. World had conjured up at the last Tarot Club gathering!
No, that wasn't important!
What mattered was that her voice sounded very familiar to Emlyn. It was unmistakably the voice Progenitor Lilith had used to convey her will to him!
So the girl before him... was Progenitor Lilith?!
At that thought, he grew excited. "You... you're..."
The girl smiled. "That's right. I'm the one who sent you out to sea."
It really is the Progenitor!
Emlyn grew even more excited, but for a moment, he did not know what to do or say. Should I kneel to show my respect for the Progenitor?
