An instant before the black smoke reached her, Lilith finally broke free. She caught Edward's wrist with her other hand and leaped away from the black smoke.
In midair, she struck out sharply with her free hand.
With a crack, an entire plane of space shattered like glass. Cracks rapidly spread in every direction, and when they filled heaven and earth, the world twisted violently and collapsed completely.
The sky, the ground, and the lake all shattered, revealing its true appearance.

The furious roar rang out again. An enormous figure that towered between heaven and earth appeared high above-a woman with venomous snakes covering her head and a slightly serpentine face.
She spread her arms, and overwhelming malice surged toward them.
Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, blizzards, plagues, disease, curses.
Lilith waved a hand, conjuring a mirror out of thin air, then stepped inside with Edward. She rapidly traveled through the countless reflections of countless mirrors within it, swiftly distancing herself from that "Gorgon."
"Riiip, creak."
Just then, every mirror suddenly shattered at once. Lilith hurriedly leaped out again, but countless mirrors suddenly appeared before her, each holding a Gorgon.
"Have you forgotten? I am the ruler of the Mirror World, the Oldest One within the mirrors!"
Lilith said nothing. She merely pushed Edward behind her to shield him and snapped her fingers softly, shattering every mirror. Then her fingers danced as though playing a piano, spreading countless invisible threads throughout the area.
She was about to step forward when she felt someone grasp her right hand-it was Edward.
"Lilith."
