Two days earlier, the Aurors from the Ministries of Magic across Europe had concluded their Magical Conference in Switzerland. That evening, the Aurors of England and France encountered extremely powerful Dark Warlocks. Hundreds of them (disputed) were defeated in less than an hour. Fortunately, only one unlucky soul died, landing on his head after falling from the sky.
According to subsequent interviews, the incident had happened so suddenly, and the Dark Warlocks had taken Polyjuice Potion, so no one had seen their faces clearly.
Although not a single word in the entire article had anything to do with Edward, Dumbledore inexplicably had a bad feeling. But he immediately shook his head.
"Impossible. However talented Edward is, he couldn't possibly defeat over a hundred warlocks on his own. Even I couldn't have done that when I was young!"
"I must be overthinking this."
He smiled as though reassuring himself, leaned back again, and continued reading. Soon, one line caught his eye: "According to Aurors who subsequently regained consciousness, one of the Dark Warlocks appeared capable of ignoring Anti-Apparition Charms..."
The smile froze on Dumbledore's face. He quietly put down the newspaper, then, after a long while, suddenly murmured to himself:
"Gellert, you would certainly like him, wouldn't you?"
Two days later.
At the edge of Hogwarts' Forbidden Forest.
Hagrid was sitting leisurely outside his wooden hut, repairing his crossbow. Fang lay nearby, a battered shoe in his mouth, growling as he tore at it.
There was a crack.
Two figures abruptly appeared, frightening Fang into fleeing with his tail between his legs.
"Hey!"
Hagrid shot him a disgruntled glare, then looked at Edward and Audrey in surprise. "Oh, Edward, long time no see. Did you need me for something?"
At that, he hastily added, "I haven't got any fantastic beasts
