Harry had always known Dumbledore was formidable, and had seen him in action more than once.
But what Dumbledore did today still shocked him.
Voldemort had clearly borrowed the Evil God's power. With it, he had easily held off a combined assault from over thirty wizards, and could even fight back.
Even more outrageous, his counterattacks had brought down several wizards whose earlier performances had been particularly impressive.
Yet the moment Dumbledore acted, the situation changed.
The incantation Dumbledore used was long. Even with Harry's considerable proficiency in Ancient Runes, he could not understand the spell's structure from its incantation alone.
In fact, Harry felt that several combinations of words in the spell were unfamiliar.
Without a doubt, this was a type of magic whose structure differed greatly from conventional magic, including ancient, new-generation, and even primordial magic.
Its effect was just as astonishing to Harry. That enormous Evil God Projection had simply vanished?
Had Dumbledore actually dispersed that Evil God Projection with a single spell?
No!
The thought had barely flashed through Harry's mind before he rejected it.
He noticed one small detail: when Dumbledore cast his spell and released that golden light, no one else reacted at all.
With golden light that intense, leaving aside those with their backs to it, the wizards facing it should at least have made small movements, such as narrowing their eyes or turning aside.
But they hadn't.
No one, Voldemort included, had reacted to Dumbledore's spell.
Did that mean that, apart from Harry, and perhaps Dumbledore, no one else had seen the golden light at all?
Or was this spell another form of power, like his Left Hand of Chaos and Calamity? Was that why only he, with Magic Perception activated, could see it, while no one else could?
