"It's not that we don't want you to study under Kaecilius. It's just that he's an extremist, and he could influence you!"
Wong patted Wang Yang on the shoulder and said with a smile.
"I understand, Master of the Mystic Arts!"
Wang Yang answered respectfully.
"All right, Wong, enough. This kid is sharp. He knows what to do!"
Hamir spoke up from beside them.
"Now, let's see what you learned from Kaecilius!"
"Did that fellow teach you his signature tricks?"
A smile spread across Hamir's face.
"If you mean the Spatial Blade!"
Wang Yang smiled as well.
"Exactly, the Spatial Blade! That's Kaecilius's signature technique!"
"Even we haven't managed to learn it!"
Hamir spoke with a hint of envy.
As for the Sorcerer Supreme, her status at Kamar-Taj stood above all others. She might not know Kaecilius's magic either, but if she wanted to learn it, he could not keep it from her.
Still, since Wang Yang knew about it, that meant he had already studied it.
"Wang Yang, don't be discouraged if you haven't learned it yet. This spell is extremely difficult, so it's perfectly normal if you haven't mastered it!"
Hamir nodded as he spoke.
"Kaecilius's magic has its own unique qualities. It's hard to learn!"
Wong nodded too.
Wang Yang was a little surprised. This was probably the first time he had seen two Masters of the Mystic Arts agree that a spell was difficult to learn.
"It's hard to learn? But, Masters, I've already learned it!"
Wang Yang scratched his head a little sheepishly as he spoke.
"What!"
Hamir and Wong exchanged a shocked look.
Though they had long known how extraordinary Wang Yang's talent was, the fact that he had learned it after just one morning there still shocked them.
After all, Kaecilius's magic had a very high barrier to entry. Wanting to learn it did not mean you could.
"I told you Wang Yang's freakish talent would let him learn it!"
Hamir looked thoroughly crushed!
At Kamar-Taj, every spell could be found in the library.
All knowledge and magic here were shared.
Even the Sorcerer Supreme openly kept forbidden books in the library.
Naturally, other people's spells could also be found there.
But being able to find them did not mean you could learn them.
To this day, no one could understand the Sorcerer Supreme's books. Kaecilius's magic was available to read, but they could not master it.
Yet Wang Yang had actually learned it in just half a day?
"It seems we still underestimated Wang Yang!"
Wong sighed.
"All right, we've said everything we needed to say. Practice hard and strive to improve!"
Hamir just wanted to get away from Wang Yang now. He had once been considered a genius at Kamar-Taj, but only after meeting Wang Yang had he realized how far he was from being one.
"I'll definitely work hard at my training!"
Wang Yang answered firmly.
After seeing Wong and Hamir off, Wang Yang began practicing in earnest.
He opened the Mirror Dimension and trained freely inside, without having to worry about anything.
The next day, Wang Yang stepped outside.
With Kaecilius teaching him, Wang Yang certainly would not waste the opportunity.
Just then, he saw the sorcerer Cade walking toward him.
"Sorcerer Wang Yang!"
This time, Cade was much more polite when he saw Wang Yang.
Wang Yang gave Cade a surprised look.
He had not expected Cade to become so unassuming in such a short time.
Clearly, Kaecilius had said something to him.
"Sorcerer Cade!"
Wang Yang replied with a smile.
Since the other man was being polite, he naturally would not treat him coldly.
"I came to find you. Kaecilius wants to see you!"
"All right!"
Wang Yang perked up. He had just been planning to see Kaecilius, and now Kaecilius had sent for him.
Wang Yang then followed Cade to Kaecilius's quarters.
Cade stood at the door and said, "Master Kaecilius is waiting for you inside!"
Wang Yang nodded and went in.
Kaecilius's expression remained impassive as he watched Wang Yang enter.
"You're here!"
Kaecilius said calmly.
"Greetings, Master Kaecilius!"
Wang Yang cupped his hands respectfully in greeting.
Pleased by Wang Yang's respectful manner, Kaecilius nodded. "I called you here to see how your magical training is coming along!"
At Kaecilius's words, Wang Yang nodded respectfully. "Yes, Master Kaecilius!"
Then he raised his hand and grasped at the air.
The space before him turned into something like shards of a mirror.
At the same time, Wang Yang caught those fragments.
A small, transparent knife that looked as though it were made of crystal appeared in his hand.
This blade was much smaller than yesterday's.
It looked unremarkable, yet its entire length radiated a keen edge.
It was also more stable.
At the sight, Kaecilius's pupils contracted.
Only a day had passed, yet Wang Yang had already gained this much control over his Spatial Blade.
To him, it was simply inconceivable.
Though inwardly stunned, after yesterday's shock, seeing this today no longer seemed quite so extraordinary.
Kaecilius nodded slightly, then said, "Not bad. Your control over the Spatial Blade is fairly good!"
"But you still need to work harder!"
"Only through diligent practice can you fully master this spell!"
"Thank you for your guidance, Master!"
Wang Yang nodded. He did not particularly care about Kaecilius's reminder; what he was looking forward to was whatever new magic Kaecilius might teach him.
Seeing Wang Yang's eager gaze, Kaecilius cleared his throat. "Very good. Today, I'll teach you another new spell!"
"Thank you, Master Kaecilius!"
Wang Yang was overjoyed that he could learn a new spell.
"You should know the source of our magic at Kamar-Taj by now, correct?"
Kaecilius looked at Wang Yang and spoke slowly.
Wang Yang nodded. "Of course. All white magic in the world comes from the triune deity, the Vishanti."
"Correct. Then do you know what the Vishanti are? Why are they a triune deity?"
Kaecilius looked at Wang Yang.
Though Wang Yang knew a little, his knowledge was actually quite limited.
Kaecilius had not expected Wang Yang to be able to answer anyway.
"The Vishanti are a triune deity, as well as an alliance of three ancient gods of Earth!"
"Those three gods are Agamotto, Oshtur, and Hoggoth!"
"The spell I'm going to teach you is the Sword of Vishanti!"
Kaecilius swept his hand, conjuring a longsword formed from flames.
The sword radiated mighty, sacred power and looked immensely powerful.
"This is one of Kamar-Taj's most powerful spells!"
