Rumble!

A tremendous explosion rang out through the city block.

A brilliant blue beam plunged straight down like a pillar of light, carrying devastating power.

The beam swept across the area, engulfing more than half the street.

Rows of tall buildings were destroyed and collapsed, throwing dust into the air.

Yet Wang Yang and the others on the opposite side remained completely unaffected, as though that terrifying bombardment had been held at bay.

At the sight, Kamar-Taj and the other sorcerers stood like statues, their eyes fixed unblinkingly on Wang Yang.

They simply could not imagine how a single shield could completely block such a terrifying alien weapon.

The blast from that powerful main cannon was probably already comparable to the combined magic of several sorcerers from Kamar-Taj.

Even a Master of the Mystic Arts would have been left struggling under such a terrifying attack.

Yet Wang Yang had blocked that tremendous power with the Rings of Raggadorr.

Although the Rings of Raggadorr were covered in cracks and seemed ready to shatter at any moment.

They had indeed stopped that terrifying blast.

Wang Yang waved his hand, and the Rings of Raggadorr dissolved into specks of golden light that vanished into the air.

Meanwhile, Chitauri kept leaping from the alien warship, dropping like dumplings into a pot.

They then began firing their energy weapons toward the group.

But when Wang Yang saw this, he naturally would not give the Chitauri a chance to attack.

He recited an incantation and flicked his hand.

Crimson Bands! Countless chains moved like living creatures, wrapping around the descending Chitauri and crushing them to pieces with a deadly squeeze.

At the same time, a single chain shot straight toward the enormous alien warship overhead.

Compared to the massive hull, that red chain seemed utterly insignificant.

Yet the moment it wrapped around the enormous hull, Wang Yang gave it a sharp tug.

The red chain sliced straight through the enormous alien warship like a cutting wire.

Crack!

The enormous alien warship was severed clean across its middle, then crashed down with a thunderous roar.

Countless broken components scattered in all directions.

As the enormous alien warship fell, it crushed the Chitauri on the ground beneath it.

The entire block fell silent.

The sorcerers standing beside him could not help gaping in shock.

Some of them had never even been on a battlefield, and the sight made them collapse onto the ground.

Kamar-Taj fared much better. After all, he had been on battlefields before. He was a battle sorcerer; what had he not seen?

As for the brutality of Wang Yang's methods.

On a battlefield, excessive mercy would only put one's own life in danger.

Still, he had never imagined that the Crimson Bands could be used this way.

And this was a Chitauri warship capable of traveling through space. Its durability was easy to imagine, and it contained many special alloys beyond anything Earth's technology could conceive of, capable of withstanding even the powerful weapons of certain civilizations.

Yet such strong, durable alloys had failed to stop a chain.

Looking at the mirror-smooth cut, Kamar-Taj gave a wry smile. Just how powerful was Wang Yang? His experience with magic was beyond anything Kamar-Taj could imagine, too.

Kamar-Taj even began to wonder whether the Sorcerer Supreme could accomplish this.

Destroying a warship so easily was terrifying.

In Kamar-Taj's eyes, Wang Yang might not measure up to the Sorcerer Supreme, but he could certainly rival the renowned sorcerers of Kamar-Taj's history.

While Kamar-Taj marveled at Wang Yang's extraordinary talent, another alien warship circled nearby. Hulk was on top of it, pounding and smashing away, yet he still could not inflict any meaningful damage.

Compared to the movie, these alien warships were far more difficult to deal with.

Not only were the warships equipped with tremendous firepower, but they also carried countless Chitauri troops.

As Thanos's vanguard, their strength needed no explanation.

The Chitauri themselves were formidable, too, and their technology was extremely advanced.

Even the Avengers had a hard time dealing with them.

Even with the God of Thunder and Hulk fighting the alien warships, they still could not bring them down quickly.

"Thor, looks like you need a hand!"

Just then, Iron Man, Stark, spoke.

"Stark, this isn't the time for jokes!"

Thor panted heavily as he blasted lightning at the approaching Chitauri.

He sent the Chitauri nearby flying.

But even more Chitauri charged forward again.

Thor raised Mjolnir and unleashed a torrent of lightning, but it all struck the enormous alien warship bearing down on him.

Countless Chitauri closed in around him.

Fortunately, even under these conditions, his powerful body could withstand their attacks.

But if the enormous alien warship looming over him crashed down, even he would probably be flattened into pulp.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Thunderous explosions rang out.

Dozens of miniature missiles exploded against the alien warship, drawing it away.

"You're welcome, Thor!"

With that, Stark streaked past in his Iron Man Armor.

But the small autocannons on the alien warship had already locked onto him.

Before Stark could fly very far, he was sent hurtling into the distance.

Boom!

Iron Man crashed straight into a building, but fortunately, his Iron Man Armor offered powerful protection and impact absorption.

"Damn it, we have to find a way to take them down!"

Stark could not help complaining.

Captain America's voice came over the comms as well. "Language!"

"Looks like another warship just showed up overhead!"

"They just keep coming!"

Several members of the Avengers could only smile bitterly.

They were already struggling to handle just these few warships. If more arrived, they would all be in serious trouble!

Fortunately, the Chitauri troops were not pouring onto Earth endlessly.

"Thor, find a way to take one down with Hulk first!"

That was all Captain America could say.

Thor wanted to agree, but after using his lightning powers over and over, he was nearing his limit.

"I need to rest and recover first!"

Although the Avengers all wanted Thor to act, they knew they could not force him.

After all, Thor had been their main fighting force since the battle began.

Even he could not keep going under such intense combat.

At one point, he had even held off the passage overhead all by himself.

For a moment, however, the Avengers felt a little hopeless. If they could not destroy these two warships completely, New York might be reduced to ruins.

But what could they do now?

At that moment, they all felt somewhat desperate.

But Captain America looked toward Wang Yang. He had destroyed a warship just now, so he should be able to deal with these two as well, shouldn't he?
