Chapter Summaries

Wang Yang and the others escaped the space barrier and returned to Earth, where JARVIS and Viper revealed the widespread crackdown on superheroes and the Hero Association’s recent battles. After learning that Dr. Banner was being hunted, Wang Yang prepared to act while the group resolved to settle Earth’s internal conflict before confronting the Skrulls.

• Wang Yang tore open the space and brought the stranded heroes through the rift, returning them to Earth near the ruins of Tony’s home.
• Mary sensed Wang Yang’s return aboard the Dark Aster, and the reunited heroes gathered in Tony’s hidden underground base, where JARVIS showed them recordings of events on Earth.
• Wang Yang watched footage of the Hero Association escaping attacks by Daredevil Matt, Magneto, Thor Clones, and Black King Shaw, and grew alarmed when Mary was injured.
• Viper told the heroes that mutants had been captured, the Hero Association was being hunted, and Mister Fantastic had visited the White House before disappearing.
• Beast reported that Dr. Banner was in Ohio and being pursued by a cloaked figure and an unidentified person, prompting Wang Yang and the others to prepare to intervene.

Wang Yang returned to Earth and confronted the Skrull impersonators of Black Bolt and Doctor Strange while they pursued Hulk near Lake Erie. He wounded Black Bolt and protected Dr. Banner from the resulting waves, but Black Bolt rose from the lake and Doctor Strange attacked Wang Yang from above.

• Tony gave Wang Yang a Skrull-detection device and urged the other heroes to prepare for the fight.
• Black Bolt and Doctor Strange pursued Hulk toward Lake Erie until Dottiert ordered them to retreat because Wang Yang had returned.

Wang Yang defeated Black Bolt after preventing his destructive attack from hitting Earth, then confronted Doctor Strange, who had been possessed by a Skrull. A damaged black hole summoned Dormammu, and Wang Yang entered it to fight him.

Wang Yang defeated Dormammu, captured Doctor Strange, and returned to the heroes’ base as Tot Vanwell’s Skrull forces arrived. After Wang Yang struck Tot Vanwell into the distance, Tot returned unharmed and threatened to destroy Earth unless Wang Yang and the others submitted.

• Wang Yang drove Dormammu into the black hole’s depths, then captured Doctor Strange and sealed the black hole.
• Dottiert and Dr. Pym welcomed Tot Vanwell, who ordered the Skrulls to attack the Hero Association at Black’s Beach.
• Wang Yang returned to the base with Dr. Banner, where the heroes learned that Skrull ships had arrived and that one of them had taken Wang Yang’s appearance.
• Wang Yang and the heroes confronted Tot Vanwell, and Wang Yang sent him flying with a lightning-charged strike.
• Dottiert ordered the Skrulls’ robotic copies, Ultrons, and pro-registration heroes to attack, but Tot Vanwell returned unharmed and threatened to destroy Earth unless the heroes submitted.

Wang Yang drew Tot Vanwell away from Earth while the heroes fought Dottiert’s Skrull forces at Black Coast. As the battle turned against the duplicates, reinforcements and Captain America prepared to join the fight, and Tot Vanwell declared his intention to claim Earth.

• Wang Yang struck Tot Vanwell and chased him into space to keep their fight from damaging Earth.
• Tony, Hulk, Spider-Man Parker, Deadpool, and the other heroes battled Dottiert’s mechanical and copied fighters, gradually gaining the advantage.
• Spider-Man Parker and Fleischer rescued Fury from Skrull duplicates, while Deadpool recovered from Daredevil’s attack and went after him.
• Dottiert ordered Dr. Pym to summon reinforcements, including Pula and Baron Zemo, and learned that Feili was bringing the Eye of Agamotto.

Wang Yang fought Tot Vanwell, a Skrull god who had copied many of his abilities and claimed to be the strongest Skrulls God. Tot Vanwell gained access to the Time Stone during the battle, slowing Wang Yang's local flow of time and striking him, leaving Wang Yang to realize the Infinity Gauntlet was in play.

• Tot Vanwell revealed that he was the strongest Skrulls God and tried to recruit Wang Yang, but Wang Yang refused and they began fighting.
• Wang Yang broke Tot Vanwell's Magic Shield and overwhelmed him, forcing Tot Vanwell to call on Dottiert for help as their battle devastated the Asteroid Belt.
• Tot Vanwell used the Giant Necromantic Hand and Cosmic Energy against Wang Yang, while Wang Yang counterattacked and drove him through a floating landmass.
• Dottiert told Tot Vanwell that Fili had arrived with the Time Stone, and a green light appeared nearby.
• Tot Vanwell suddenly struck Wang Yang at greatly increased apparent speed, and Wang Yang realized the Time Stone had slowed time around him.

Wang Yang fought Tot Vanwell, who used the Infinity Stones with help from Fili, and eventually destroyed Fili’s soul to cut off that power. After overpowering Tot Vanwell, Wang Yang killed him with the Vishanti Holy Sword, leaving Earth’s fate unresolved.

• Tot Vanwell used the Time Stone and Power Stone to attack Wang Yang with overwhelming speed while Fili secretly supplied the Stones’ power.
• Wang Yang unleashed widespread lightning to keep Tot Vanwell at bay, then traced the source of the Infinity Stones’ power to Fili and destroyed his soul with a punch.
• With the Stones’ power gone, Wang Yang beat Tot Vanwell, who tried to flee and threatened that his subordinates would destroy Earth.
• Wang Yang pursued Tot Vanwell and killed him with a strike from the Vishanti Holy Sword, causing the Skrull god to disintegrate.

Wang Yang defeated Tot Vanwell and helped the superheroes drive the Skrulls from Earth before returning to Kamar-Taj. Eternity then revealed that Oblivion planned to destroy the Multiverse and asked Wang Yang to devour him, leaving Wang Yang to consider the offer.

• After Tot Vanwell vanished, the Skrulls lost heart, and Dottiert ordered them to retreat while Ultron fled.
• Wang Yang destroyed the Skrull spaceship with a purple sword beam, then declined Tony Stark's invitation to celebrate and returned to his universe.
• At Kamar-Taj, Eternity waited for Wang Yang and told him that Oblivion had killed Galactus to help God Glyph destroy the Multiverse.
• Eternity asked Wang Yang to devour the weakened Oblivion, promising that the other Cosmic Entities would help and that Wang Yang could become the sixth cosmic entity.
• Wang Yang stayed silent for a long time before beginning to answer Eternity.
