"You're safe for now, but you're too weak. If the other Masters discover you have two Servants, they might attack you directly. You've been a mage for ten years. How have you not learned any means of fighting an enemy? Didn't Zouken Matou teach you?"
"I'm sorry."
"What are you apologizing for? I'm asking you a serious question."
Karn looked at Sakura Matou, who had lowered her head to apologize, and spoke with some resignation. Sakura Matou's Magic Circuits had originally been excellent, but Zouken Matou had modified them to have water-aligned absorption properties.
Even so, if Sakura Matou had been properly taught magecraft, she could have protected herself, even if she fell short of Rin Tohsaka. Now, however, her only remaining function was supplying Magic.
"Forget it. Study this magecraft properly. You can also stockpile more Magic gems in your spare time, so you won't run short of Magic during the final battle."
Karn spoke to Sakura Matou. He had little hope for this Master; all she needed to do was keep herself alive.
The Holy Grail War did not last long. Even a month counted as a long time; with seven Servants and a place as small as Fuyuki City, a war lasting more than a month meant some Master was slacking off.
Karn taught Sakura Matou the magecraft for storing Magic in gems while dangling a grand promise before her. "Work hard, Sakura Matou. Once I obtain the Holy Grail, I can grant all your wishes, including restoring your body to its original state. You don't like having your body full of Crest Worms either, do you?"
Rider tilted her head at that. This was the third time today she had wanted to glare at Karn with her Mystic Eyes.

The doorbell rang outside the Matou
